I am Selling My 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville . This is an unmolested car. It does have a few safety upgrades , and shows just the way it did when it was new in 1957 . I purchased this car in 2007 . It had spent it's life in the Nebraska Area .All the Photo's that are listed in this auction were taken 12/03/11. I have to say i have enjoyed this car tremendously and have enjoyed bringing this car back to the condition it is in now . It had 57,000 miles when i purchased it . it now shows 64,000. The car has been painted in It's original color Bahama Blue Code 94 , White Vicodec Top code 1 and Saber Blue and Black Paisley clothe and Saber blue metallic leather interior code 53 . The steering wheel is original and is like new , no cracks or fading suggesting the car was garaged all it's life . The interior is all original including the dash pad . The only part that has been replaced is the front seating surface The clothe was purchased from SMS for the correct match , and the leather was purchased from Bill Hirsh , Newark NJ . All dash , interior lights and and Gages all work . I have installed a carter rotary fuel pump as a back up pump , this makes starting much easier when car is sitting for a few weeks . It is activated with a pull /push switch . The car does run on the mechanical pump as the primary . The car also is equipped with a painless electric solenoid battery cut of switch also controlled with a push / pull switch . All stainless and Chrome are in nice condition . The paint is beautiful and the color is in my opinion the most desirable Cadillac has ever offered . Just the way it came from the factory . the vicodec top is only 2 years old . All windshield rubber has been replaced along with the trunk gasket . I have the original oil bath air filter, but i did machine a new top out of 7050 Aluminum Plate that looks like the original oil bath filter. this allows you to use a much cleaner and easy to replace paper filter . I have spent a lot of time on this upgraded filter system and it works perfectly . Every thing works on this car . Electric Windows , Trunk , Seats , Antenea , clock . Including the wonder-bar radio Rebuilt by S/M Electro tech . , However i did disarm the autronic Eye and the windshield WASHERS i was never sure if they were working properly or not . the Vacum wiper motor also has been rebiult by frick in New york . The Tires are American classics new in 2010 . The Battery( Antique car Battery ) will be 1 year old in April . The correct 365 cubic inch Engine is NOT the original engine , sometime in it's life, before i owned the car the engine was replaced . I had the engine completely professonally rebuilt 3,500 miles ago .along with a Water Pump ,rebuilt carb, Generator , and Starter. It also has a Pertronics ignition System that replaces the points . The exhaust is correct with the correct mufflers and resinaters and is in very good condition . I have replaced the Hydrovac power brake booster along with the master cylinder . The transmission shifts beautifully . The drive shaft has been professionally balanced and a new carrier bearing installed . The car comes with the original keys plus the Creasted Cadillac keys shown in the photo's and all locks work. This Eldorado also has the original Gold Anodized grille that is in beautiful condition. The only thing that might need attention in the future is the lower Passenger side fender has a few small bubble marks . This car has been well cared for all it's life and is very solid . The frame is a tubular X frame and is solid , the floor pans are solid , the underneath of this car is not powder coated like a trailer queen but it is very clean and solid .This car is truly a work of Art .One of the most desirable Cadillac ever made in my opinion. . I have added a removable bracket that holds a frame that tells all about the car when it is being shown at car shows , this can be removed in a matter of seconds This along with the blue suitcase in the trunk are Not part of the auction . I have all the paper work with this car along with the build sheet from the Cadillac motor Company . I have well over 50,000 invested in this car . Any body that knows anything about keeping a classic car original , will tell you, it is very expensive . The reason i am selling this car is because i have purchased another 1957 Cadillac , this time a convertible . It will keep me busy for the next 5 years . I have never sold a car on line before , but i do have some concerns . I would rather the buyer actually see and drive the car in person .
