1985 Volkswagen Vanagon Odometer reads 113,000 Miles +/- It stopped working according to previous owner about 20,000 miles ago. So has roughly 133,000 Miles (TRUE MILES UNKNOWN!) 4 cylinder 5 speed manual shift Includes all seats. Rear seat converts to a very comfortable bed for camping etc. Tires are like new and match Pioneer CD player ( model DEH-1500) Great Clutch! Many new parts in the last six years (van has been in storage since 2006) They include with documentation: 2 wheel cylindersRear brakes02 sensorFuel injectorWater pump with thermostatcoolant expansion tankTiresJust installed a brand new battery last week The van runs and drives. I do not know a lot about it other than the above parts and maintenance. I bought this as a winter project and must sell because I am Moving and have no place to keep it. The body of the van is in great shapeas it has never been driven in the winter. So the underneath is awesome. The body has a few spots where the paint chipped/cracked off. these spots are on the sliding door, one near gas tank and one near driver door (see pics).I think the van needs the following from what I gather (not a VW expert but i am mechanically observant) : Shift Linkage Needs to be adjusted (shifts kind of hard into gears) This was a recommended item by a VW mechanic to previous ownerThe sliding door opens kind of hard (needs to be oiled maybe?)The driver side lights are not working (Fuse?)Temperature light is flashing. Van is NOT OVERHEATING so the sensor is shot. The sensor is about $30.00The horn does not work.The paint on the roof is peeling a bit.The interior is a 7/10 I have looked at a lot of Vanagons over the years and this is one of the better ones I have seen here in New Hampshire.The frame and body are nice and the van looks pretty good. It is NOT A DAILY DRIVER!!! I would strongly recommend towing this vehiclebecause it has been sitting for a several years and has not been inspected. It is a running/driving vanagon that needs work.It is not perfect but will make an awesome van with a little work. THINK BEFORE YOU BID!
