Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1971 nova ss. it is a (REAL SS 350 car not a clone) original 350 motor is long gone and has been replaced with a 1970 low compression 396 big block that runs good, has a small lunati cam, edelbrock intake and demon carb, other than that its a stock motor, runs smooth and has alot of life left in it but by no means is it a new motor, it has no ticking noises or knocks whatsoever. Trans is a turbo 350 with a shift kit that operates properly and works very well, also not a new trans but functions correctly. Wheels are american racing torque thrust II with almost new rubber. Factory power disk brakes are there as well as power steering and its a factory a/c car with everything there but the compressor itself. Rearend is the big 10 bolt 8.5 inch. Interior is in very good condition for its age no tears in seats, great carpet, door panels and dash, headliner is good but has about a 4 inch rip that can be sewed up to be nice again. It has a period correct am/fm 8 track in dash radio that works! Again this stuff is not perfect by any means just a nice old unrestored car. Guauges and lights work as well as speedo. Newer dual exhaust system with flowmaster type mufflers not sure of the exact brand they are. All ss trim is there and in decent shape but showing some age. I have the owners manual for it and a receipt for it being rust proofed and undercoated many years ago, and that is why this car is rust free. There is no bubbles coming through anywhere bottom of fenders trunk, rockers and floors are very nice and solid. It has had a rh full quarter put on it sometime a long time ago, must be from an accident because the rest of the car is original and rust free, body work is coming through and cracking where the new quarter meets the sail panel and inside the trunk edge but it is lined up properly and isnt rusted out. I believe that is the only filler in the car. This whole car needs to be redone to be a show worthy, the paint is shot and has misc dings and scratches all over. This car has been painted once in its lifetime a long long time ago but from what i can tell it was stripped to bare metal because it only shows one paint job. Car is original mulsane blue car. Car runs and drives and was a daily driver for a long time, but has been sitting inside a garage for the last 3 years so it may need a few small things to make it a reliable daily driver but you wont find a nicer car to start with that is a real ss for the money. NO PANEL WORK REQUIRED!!!!!!! Easy restore!!!!!! Feel free to ask questions and i will help get the car on a transport truck at buyers expense, GOOD LUCK!On Dec-11-11 at 19:11:38 PST, seller added the following information: ATTENTION PLEASE READ!!!!!!! I have had a ton of requests to make sure the car is rust free and because i havnt been under the car in 3 years i climbed under it to take another look and this is what i found. Since it was parked in 08 the floor pan under the drivers feet has started to come through, im not sure as to how bad as i dont want to pick at it but its starting to go. I know the paint on this car is at least 30 years old because I know this car and went to high school with the previous owner and it has never been changed and i graduated in 89. The reserve is not met so no harm no foul so please bid accordingly. Im sorry for this as i am not trying to hide anything last time i was under it was when i bought it in 08 and it wasnt showing anything then. The car is what it is, its still a great restoration project and an easy restore. Please dont think this car needs nothing, it needs alot. I bought this car because i was going to restore it myself, i drove it home from his house in 08 and it has been sitting in my shop. I just recently changed the oil, drained the fuel and fired her up and drove it around the block a few times, but he drove it daily up until i bought it from him. Hope this answers alot of questions and clears some things up.On Dec-12-11 at 20:00:15 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked for these numbers so i thought i would share with everyone. Engine number in front of head on passenger side reads T0626CTB 12Y162728 which decodes to a 1972 396/402 LS3 block for camaro or chevelle, i was told it was a 1970 block, but i didnt care to check it didnt matter to me so here is the correct info on the engine. Thanks
