I have here a 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible that is going No Reserve and has new Red paint job painted inside and out and looks very nice and shiny but it isn't a show car. This was an extremely solid car and everything was very tight in the suspension. There is no damage on either end and has a clear open California title . You would think this would not be a big deal but out here in California to avoid reistrations fee's i have seen people salvage a perfectly good car. Again this car has never been in an accident and clear title . Alright now lets get to the car. It has a rebuilt 1600 cc carburated motor unless you want the original fuel injected motor that also has been rebuilt. These fuel injections can be a pain so I did a conversion to make it very simple and easy to maintain but if you want it original I can do that very easily. I am a full service restoration shop that I specialize in frame up nut and bolt restrations on beetle convertibles so switching an engine is a couplle hours . I could have the motors switched before you could go to the bank and back so no worries on that end. Next transmission,clutch steering have all been checked and everything is in working order but this is a 1978 and routine maintence on these cars are always needed. I have choce of low back with head rests or the sportier looking high backs . I have pictured both options and both options are fully completed just a few minnutes to pull them in or out. The convertible top is only hours old and it also has new headliner and rubbers so this is not just a cheap slip over top. This is a total convertible top worth $2,,000.00 alone at most shops. Tires are average condition and rims are nice original steel with hub caps . All glass is in good shape but lets always remember you are buying a 30 year old vehicle. I can take a lot of the stress and pressure off of the shipping end of it as I have a discount with a transport company I use and they have good prices and I can also if needed for overseas buyers deliver the car to the port in Long Beach or I could take the car to Fresno, Ca to a drop off location for out of the state buyers.
