1967 FASTBACK ALCAPULCO BLUE GT 390 4 SPEED MUSTANG. This mustang was purchased from a 33 year owner. This is a fantastic opportunity to grab up a big block fastback project. This mustang is extremely sought after and comes with just about everything needed to put this Original Acapulco Blue beauty with the desireable exterior group decore car back on the road again. Much of the metal work on this mustang has been complete by previous owner. Many of the parts that are included in this auction are ORIGINAL to this mustang. I hope these pictures will speak for themselves. SHELL : Clean down to bare metal. There is no hidden body work, Very straight. Much is done, Much still needs done. There are only minor rust issues to deal with at this point.. You will notice some Shelby appointments that also go with the mustang. Previous owner was headed towards a Shelby gt500. Also included is reproduction Shelby rear tail light panel, Original Ford Tail lights. And also what appers to be a real Shelby gt 500 gas cap. New door shells, The original doors in which the Original Door tag still resides.. Also another pair of door skins (nice quality), new front fenders, nice good clean rust free hood and rear valance. ENGINE : RARE!! FE 428 BIG Block , This block could have certainly been in a SHELBY GT500. Its Cast C6ME Also has Cast A in back of block. Internals are Original ford parts. The engine is not locked up. Condition of engine is unkown. But looks to be an excellent builder. HEADS : Probably the Original FE 390 GT hipo heads that came with mustang. They are 14 bolt heads. Correct high preformance exhaust manifolds also. The heads look good and are complete. TRANSMISSION : Really could get no better, 1969 Big spline 4 Speed toploader, Same transmission used in BOSS 429 and COBRA JET Mustang. Have the bellhousing, flywheel, clutch fork, trans mount, Z bar. Its all here. INTAKE : Is a cast iron 4 barrel 428 COBRA JET REAR END : Original 3:25 LOCKING. Rear end is complete and turns freely, clearly a positive traction unit. INTERIOR: An Original Fold Down rear seat car. Uncut trap door. Original fold down rear seat complete with original stainless. Most of the fiberglass trim parts are here. Looks like all metal trim is accounted for. Interior vent boxes are nice with drain hoses still connected. OEM new door panels in opened box (very nice) door panels. The Original underdash wiring harness is also included. Glove compartment, ashtray, new black headliner, new black carpet, all the switches all here. Steering column, original steering wheel, clutch and brake pedal setup is also here. SUSPENSION : All goes with mustang, KONI shocks..Original front disc brakes, rotors, 4 piston calipers in good rebuildable shape.. GLASS: All glass comes with the mustang. WHEELS AND TIRES : The rims I bet are the original chrome steel rims. They could use good cleaning or better yet rechromed for your build. The tires are vintage bias ply rollers. There is a ton of stuff as you can see in the pics. Projects like this are becoming far and few. This is a true gem of a mustang and in my eyes a real diamond and one of the most beautiful cars ever built.... An excellent builder car, An excellent higher dollar car that will only go up in value. WHAT I WILL DO. I will neatly pack this mustang up for you. I will also install engine and transmission in engine bay and bolt them in. I will also bolt up the rear end and make the mustang a roller for you. Of course I will assist in loading also. Happy bidding on this mustang. Last two pictures show this is how the mustang looks as of today 12 / 6 / 2011... She is NEATLY packed up. Glass is about the last thing to get loaded up. Engine and transmission are bolted together and in place. Clear Ohio Title, Original door tag, Also have had many questions on aprons stampings. Yes, all for top aprons are new. I have the double stamped apron with vin number on apron. Questions concerning quality of workmanship on car. The work is real nice. Lots of plug welds. Yes, nice work. Will finish up very nicely. Again, This is super nice project. 390 Big Block, Real GT, Rare 428 engine and Big spline 4 speed top loader. Posi rearend, Front disc brakes,Tach, Fold down rear seat. I think that sums it up.
