66-911 porsche vin # 302316. One of the first few 66MY -911 cars-built *9/16/1965*per PORSCHE COA. This is a NON #s matching running restoration project Euro 911-car. MOTOR. the current motor #6118036 is a running euro 68 L built out to S specs with carrera chain tensioner updates & webber 40 carbs. Records show this work was done in 1991. The trans is a 901 5 speed #102062 type 902/01 BODY. The body has been resprayed in the original gulf blue color,the paint is old faded & peeling. The driver side floor pan has been patched in the front-the rest of the floor shows signs of rust & should be replaced during the restortation of the car. The driver side door has rust at the bottom. The jack posts & rear torsion tube area are solid along with the front & rear winshield corners. one of the last cars with "non adjustable shocks & the washer bag in the right inner fender wall" INTERIOR. The interior is original including the front houdstooth seats. The dash & steering wheel have been changed. The Euro gauges –dated 8-65 are working with the exception of the clock . EXTERIOR. the 4 steel/chrome rims are dated 11/65. The chrome door frames & windows are in decent shape. The rear deck lid ,grill & slanted script are orginal to the car . SUMMARY. In short a running,driving,shifting,stopping early 66 -911 - completed on 9/16/65 making it FIA eliagable… THIS IS A RESTORATION-PROJECT TYPE CAR.
