1963 Volkswagen Beetle Convetible Hello and welcome beetle lovers young and old. I have tried a couple ways of selling this with a restoration included which I have had a lot of sucess in the past but I need to sell this car and I am offering it up now as is to the highest bidder going No Reserve . I have just painted the car last night Metallic Silver and it turned out very nice and very shiny with plenty of metalic. This is a running and driving car with a rebuilt transmission and 1600cc air cooled engine . I video tape the car running and driving prior to receiving payment which most on ebay do not offer with a poster board of the new owners name and clear California open title. This would be a great for a father and son Beetle but lets remember here that this is a 1963 and these are the most expensive cars and the hardest to find in any state and in any condition. This car with new top and interior would be worth a great deal of money and that is why I'm offering to winning bidder the opptunity for me to restore the car for them and you can pick your colors of the canvas convertible top ,mohair headliner and all the bells and whistles and interior interior in soild colors or in beautiful 2 tone black and white or black and red ,red and white or other colors. Also you can pick the tires and rims which i have pictured some rims that i would include if i restored the car and if you do not want the 1600 cc dual port motor that is included I could upgrade to a 1776 with a weber or an 1835 cc with dual webers, all new moldings,mirrors,bumpers,all new chrome door window scrapers,all new rubber,all new wood bows,rubbers,cables and aluminum rear molding all wood tact strips, new full interior including sunvisors carpet,seat covers,door panals,knobs,lights door handles, but that would be restored price of $13,500.00 which is a steal fully restored. I know some shops that would charge you $15,000.00 just for the work and not including the car. This is just an option for those who don't have the time to take care of the things needing a little tlc, if you dont want me to do any further work. You can find a interior shop and so on and so on. I do everything in house other then the final paint which is done at a paint booth I rent. Of course you can finish the small things yourself or hire whomever you want and whatever the winning bid is that is what it sells for. I will not pressure you to have me restore the car but it is again an option. I also included a show car I did that was so loved that I was contacted by a photo shoot company to be used in a world wide spread that is for a major company but I'm not allowed to say who and what . Okay, What you will receive without the restoration . The 1963 body and pan is also a 1963 convertible pan which has already been restored and painted and looks very nice. All windows will be included and pictured as we put the car back together over the next couple days . You can see the transformation for yourself. it will come with the correct 63 seats that will need new seat covers and padding . It will come with the correct convertible top frame with no wooden bows or anything else. It also has a glass back window that is included. I have choice of a lowered axle beam which is worth about $600.00 or $700.00 alone or the stock height. I have new running boards that do go with the car.The body has already had a lot of work done and as I stated has fresh paint in silver metallaic and it looks sharp. If your expecting anything more then a daily driver or project you are wasting both our times and ebay . I will not make warrantees on a No Reserve item let alone almost 50 years old. Mechanically it should be very solid but I have not test driven the car and hasn't been out of my shop yet. I offer a 12 month waranty on anything mechanical including entire engine,tranny,brakes if wanting a full restoration. If you have any issue mechanical I will cover all parts and labor . If bought with out restoration this is absolutly a" as is" sale The starting price is no where near what we feel the car is worth but you have to start somewhere. Thanks for looking.
