Don't miss the videos on this car, I have posted 2 videos which will give you a walkaround and virtual test drive. This is my last time to list, if it doesn't sell this time, I will trade it in. Up for sale is a very nice 2000 Mercedes Benz S500 in excellent condition. Don't let the miles scare you off, this car looks and performs like a car with much lower mileage. The best thing about a car with this kind of mileage is that the major things have already been fixed! It has always been well maintained and has had a lot of recent work done to it in the past 6 months. The entire front end was rebuilt (bushings, joints, control arms and so forth)and a 4 wheel alignment was performed. It's also got a new serpentine belt and tensioners. The most major thing it's had done is conversion to the Strutmaster springs and shocks to eliminate the air suspension and associated problems. The car starts, runs and drives fantastic. It shifts properly through all the gears and has plenty of power. It tracks straight on the highway and is very smooth. It does not leak anything or burn any oil. All accessories work properly including the voice control, all the power accessories (locks, windows, trunk, seats, mirrors etc), the navigation, stereo, heating and cooling, cruise control, sunroof, keyless entry and door closers.. Although I am selling it “where is, as is, anything can happen on a car this old at any time” I would feel confident in driving it cross country right now. The paint is shiny and as far as I can tell all original. It was always kept in a garage and it shows. Even the alloy wheels are in nice condition. It has 2 brand new tires on the rear and the front tires are probably good for another 5-10K miles. Please feel free to have your mechanic inspect the car or come see and drive it yourself. Please check my history on Ebay and feel confident that you are buying from somebody honest and with a good reputation. Of course a car with this age and. mileage will have some imperfections. This car came from the south so it is basically rust free. There is a tiny paint bubble on the bottom of the rear passenger door, but that's it as far as rust goes. It does have its share of dings and scratches but is overall a great looking car. Once in a while the driver's power seat will blow the fuse but when replaced the seat works fine. The windshield washer fluid reservoir leaks and the cap is missing. Once in a while the display will say that a light bulb is out but I haven't been able to locate it. It also gives a false error about the air suspension which makes perfect sense since it no longer has the air suspension. The SRS light comes on intermittently. All in all, these are all very minor things and do not affect the reliable operation of the car and all its features. **Note, I have purchased some Mercedes touch up paint and touched up the car, it turned out better than I thought it would. The dings and paint chips are really hard to see now, and the places on the driver's rear door shown in the video look good. Please only bid if you have funds available and are completely comfortable with this car and its condition.
