This is a used but not abused 1993 Ford Ranger. It is extremely straight for its year. I just purchased it several weeks ago for the fuel mileage as my daily driver and the very next day had a 35mpg Honda civic land in my lap and I can't keep both. This is a very solid older truck that has obviously been adult driven. I was told that it was purchased new by a college professor who drove it about 6 years. She put most of the miles on the truck as she taught at several colleges many miles apart. Then it went an older gentleman who used it only for a second vehicle. Then the family that I purchased it from (who had it for about 8 years) did not drive it daily, and when they did it was only a couple miles total to work approximately 40mph. They told me the truck had never been in a wreck and always been garaged, I believe them, and the truck sure looks the part.The truck is solid from top to bottom with new brakes and shocks. Tires are good. It drives and rides fine. I did notice that sometimes in the driveway, and only in the driveway it can be slightly sticky to shift between reverse and 1st. The previous owner said it has always been that way in the 8 years they have had it. It never grinds a gear or has a problem up or down shifting, so it really was not a concern of mine. The gas gauge does not work and has not worked for the 8 years of the previous owner. All other gauges work fine.The clutch grabs smooth and firm. The engine idles and accelerates smooth and strong. This truck has the best motor Ford made of that era, the 2.3, which has spunk, mileage and reliability over some other ranger motors. The 2.3's also are known to run easily over 200K miles and many run over 300K miles. I researched long and hard before selecting this year of a Ford Ranger as a low budget reliable truck for many years to come. The previous owner also said in the 8 years they had this truck it never let them down once. Which is nice to know it hasn't been a lemon. It has a dent in the box near the rear bumper on the drivers side. A small dent in the right front fender(you have to look real close to see it) and the front window is cracked one the lower 1/2 (not in my vision area) of the window. I feel I have touched every mechanical and cosmetic area that I know of. The truck is not perfect but for its age, it's very presentable and I would not be afraid of driving it across the country tomorrow. Every thing..... and I mean everything else works! Both license plate lights, wipers, sprayers, cold A/C, heater, everything. It also has a 4 speaker factory FM radio. You can see by the front seat and lack of wear on the pedals and shifting knob that the trucks miles are accurate and that it has been adult driven. If I kept the truck I was going to put a seat cover on it, and fix the gauge. The previous owner said they would drive the truck 224 miles and fill the tank back to the top with 8 gallons. At that rate this truck will pay for itself with mileage.They did specify that it was only driven a max of 55mph and usually 40 mph. I hope I have answered all of your concerns, I have 100% feedback and try to be as "up front" taking each of my Ebay sales very seriously.I have never sold a vehicle on Ebay before and don't plan to again, I just need to sell this truck as I can afford to license and insure two daily drivers.
