Vehicle Detail
This is a super sweet 1971 BMW R60/5 (large tank) in immaculate condition with only 16,252 miles. If you are looking for an exceptional unrestored classic airhead, this is one of the best available. I am the 4th owner. The bike was owned from new by a dealer in New York State. The second owner purchased it in September 2000 after only 11,200 miles were carefully accumulated by this first dealer owner. I purchased the bike in September 2005 with 11,785 miles from a collector/dealer who owned the bike for only a few months. This BMW runs, shifts, and handles as new. I have the maintenance records from the second owner (the third owner did not require any maintenance), and have all service records since I purchased the bike in 2005. The bike runs like a champ and has been extremely well maintained. Tune-up, fluids, battery, tires, are all new. NO LEAKS. The bike has a Reynolds "Ride Off" center stand and Brown side stand. Includes a BMW cover, orignal toolkit and pump, and a box of original parts (bolts, etc.). I am selling this to clear out some space in my garage for another bike. I will sell the bike to anyone in the world ... you just need to pick-up the bike in Bethlehem, PA (USA) with cash in hand. Many thanks for your interest in this piece of art. I accidently posted the discription twice ... sorry. The new points that I want to make are: 1) includes owners manual, 2) tune-up and fluids are current, 3) battery is two weeks old (BMW gel battery), and 4) the tires have less than 500 miles on them. That it. Let the bidding proceed!
