1958 F-100 Ford Pickup (112,000 miles) This truck spent the first 46 years of its life in South Carolina, and has only had three owners. All of the body, seat cover, and drive train are original. In the two years I’ve owned this truck I have done the following: · New clutch and throw out bearing · All new wheel cylinders and rebuilt master cylinder · New brake shoes · New emergency brake cable · All new shocks · Replaced all freeze plugs · Tune up (wires, plugs, points) · New universal joints and rear pinion seal · New wiper arms and blades · New bed hardware, oak boards, and roll on bed liner on side walls · New tail lights and wiring · New battery and cables · Repaired minor dents and painted exterior · New tires · 3 New seat belts I wouldn’t describe this truck as being restored, but it is well on its way. The floor board is solid but I haven’t done much to the interior. The heater system, gages and lights are in good working order. It’s ready to drive or take to the next level of restoration. You will look long and hard to find a 58 F-100 in this good of shape. The short step side bed is rare, and gets a lot of attention on the road.
