Vehicle Detail

This is a great deal on a classic 70' Scout with a solid front axle and the original 304 V8 (strong 304ci. engine was rebuilt and runs great). Three speed manual transmission was also rebuilt and has no problems, both front and rear differentials have been serviced and transfercase works great. As far as the drivetrain is concerned this combination is outstanding, but as most all classics there are a few drawbacks that are associated with age and this Scout is no exception. When it comes to rust, unfortunately this lil' Scout has its share, though it does have a very strong frame and supporting structures. The main area of corrosion concentration is as pictured: driver door, hood, front floor panels, back opening door and under both fuel tanks (which is where most of the concerning rust is); although everything can be repaired and does not interfere with the driving of this lil beast. It is also due for a steering/suspension upgrade since the rubber bushing have not been changed out since who knows when, as well as the shocks. There is a minor glitch with the wiring because the blinkers and horn are not working due to a recent thunderstorm; the rain somehow seeped in and short circuited it. I replaced the flashers as well as the fuses that I could find but it didn't seem to help. The passenger window's crank is broken and that is pretty much all that is wrong with it that I can think of, which is really not bad considering it to be 41 years old. I'm really not too happy to sell this Scout since I had a lot of plans for it, but unfortunatley I have too many toys and must prioritize myself better, so my Scout can ultimately be someone else's fun machine now. Send me a question if you have one and I will get back with you ASAP, also I have about 15mins. of video that I can e-mail to who ever wants it (the pictures don't do this Scout justice). It does have the Texas state inspection sticker current until June of next year and the clear Texas title is in hand ready for the highest bid that comes to pick this baby up. I understand that these are tough times and really just want it to go to good hands so the reserve is set very low for this iconic four wheeling machine. Thank you for your time. This is a relist with an even lower reserve. Have 15mins. worth of video with footage of the inside, outside, underside, also starting it up, and hearing/seeing the engine run. Just send me a message with your e-mail attached and I'll send the videos to you.
