Vehicle Detail

2000 Dodge Viper ACR - Custom Showpiece 2000 Dodge Viper ACR Exquisite Condition Custom High End Paint and Audio Over $115,000 Invested Here's your chance to own one of the most stunning Vipers in existence. This car turns heads at every show, rally and cruise - no matter what else is on display. On the street, it's even more obvious. If you want an extreme machine, it doesn't get much better than this. One owner car with 15,443 original miles. Retitled once from my LLC to my own name - but I've had her since she came off the production line. No accidents. No issues. Originally purchased in Sacramento, CA but moved with me to the Seattle area several years ago. Selling because I just don't get to drive it much here. Been garaged, covered, meticulously maintained and babied since she rolled off the lot. Car originally came set up from the factory with the ACR (American Club Racer) Competition package. The ACR option was a significant performance upgrade to the base model and it was offered to provide an easy way for drivers to enter SCCA Touring 1 Competition. The package deleted base level A/C, fog lamps and the audio system to shave off some weight, then added back in forged aluminum 18-inch BBS wheels, race-valved double-adjustable KONI shock absorbers, 2.25-inch-diameter Hypercoil springs (about twice as stiff as stock), K&N air filters, and five-point racing harnesses for both the driver and passenger. To actually race in competition, you would just need to swap out the Street tires with R-Compound tires (stickier), add some race ready brake pads, and grab your helmet. This particular Viper was originally red with no stripes. There were only 60 red ACR Vipers produced in 2000. Factory A/C and factory audio were added back to the vehicle prior to delivery and sale. The car is in pristine condition and includes the following major upgrades: Audio System - In 2000, I had a custom audio system installed. System includes competition grade components including Eclipse Competition Head Unit with remote, Focal Separates in the doors, Eclipse Subs in custom rear enclosure, MB Quarts Coaxial Surrounds for rear fill, two Custom 1 Farad Stiffening Capacitors, Soundstream Continuum Limited Edition Amplifier (1 of 1000 made), Dynamat throughout, Phoenix Gold wires and connectors and red neon back lighting. Though the system occupies the space originally reserved for the spare tire, it can easily be removed and brought back to factory condition if ever desired. No additional holes were drilled in the vehicle to install the system and no significant modifications were made to the vehicle. In addition, the original factory installed Alpine stereo, OEM speakers, amp, and brackets will be included with the car. The system was not built for actual competition, but I was a former national car audio competitor. No corners were cut on the install. Total cost of components and install, roughly $7,000. Exhaust and Cooling - In 2002, I purchased Borla Cat Back Exhaust, Custom Catalytic Converters, Front Bumper Fascia Cooling Duct (pulls air into engine from under car), and front bumper guards from Roe Racing. Roughly $2k Custom Paint - In 2003, I had a custom flame paint job applied to the vehicle. This was not some thrown together, mid-level job. This took several weeks, involved 63 hours of labor, and included the removal of pretty much everything from the front end of the car (rather than masking) so that the parts could be painted completely, as if they had been sprayed at the factory. The job was done in Sacramento by the fantastic artisan Natoma (known for his phenomenal flames). These weren't part of some kit. They were laid out by hand, painted in by hand, and outlined (pinstriped) by hand. They are absolutely gorgeous and are sprayed over the original red along with all new clear coat. Total cost - roughly $5,000 just for the flames. Other misc. interior upgrades include all new billet knobs and dials, billet viper logo lighter, billet custom short throw shifter, and custom floor mats. Also included are a set of carbon fiber door sills that I never got around to installing, as well as the original spare tire, a spare full size Michellin tire (nice to have in a pinch), original door emblems, rear deck hydraulic piston, original audio system, original jack and case, original window sticker and owners manual, and all receipts and records. All four tires ave been upgraded to Pirelli Pilots with slightly better profile and grip characteristics. Condition is excellent. Known Issues: This car is in phenomenal shape. The only issues I am aware of are cosmetic and are as follows: A minor nick on the yellow paint where the hood meets the front passenger side fender. I have highlighted this with a green circle in the photos. This is a common problem in the Gen II GTS - where the hood sometimes bumps the fender on closing. You cannot see this from more than a few feet away and it's barely noticeable in any event. An easy fix if desired down the road. A light spot in the paint in corner of the passenger side hood vent. Again, circled in green in the photos. This one is very hard to see in person. It is something that I only just noticed in the last couple months. Another easy fix and I doubt anyone ever notices it unless you decide to chase show trophies. A couple light scratches on the driver side rear (top of rear deck glass). This looks very much like someone tried to break into the car at some point with a wire through the back hatch. The car was rarely parked anywhere for long, but this is all I can figure. Really have to look hard to find this one, especially after waxing - but figured I would mention everything. Another easy fix. A 2.5 inch section of light curb rash on the passenger rear wheel (the other three are perfect). I had planned on getting the rims polished and knew this was light enough to have it fixed at that time, so I never got around to having it repaired. Again, you'd really have to be looking for this. That's it. I'm not aware of any other issues. I've included a lot of photos and they pretty much tell the story. As you can see, the car is never driven in the rain (part of the reason I'm letting her go). The way I see it, I never really owned this car. I was just the curator. She is an iconic piece of Automotive Americana and I hope someone else will enjoy her as much as I have. I guarantee that if you are driving this car, no matter what pulls up next to you, everyone will still be looking at you. It's almost comical. Every time I take this car out, I literally get wide eyed, open mouthed stares everywhere I go. Please don't waste my time. I promise I won't waste yours. This is a beautiful car. I am confident the winning bidder / buyer will be very happy with their purchase. Please don't bid if you can't follow through. Additional details follow... Initial Deposit The winning bidder must submit a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit immediately following the close of the auction. This $500 deposit is good towards the purchase of the vehicle and will be deducted from the total amount of the purchase. I will accept payment through PayPal (including VISA and MASTERCARD) for this initial NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Balance of Payment and Method The buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due within 7 days of the close of the auction.
