Vehicle Detail
EGGLESTON KUSTOMS' "PANIC ATTACK" 1934 FORD COUPE This wild little coupe started it's life as a 34 2 door sedan. On June 3, 2011 it started it's transformation into what you see today. All of the existing 2 door sheet metal was used to create this coupe with the exception of the very rear sections of the quarter panels (oem 34 coupe rear quarter sections were used) and the trunk lid (which is fiberglass). The top has been chopped 3" and still allows for plenty of headroom. It is sitting on a 34 Ford frame that has been boxed. The drivetrain consists of a 454 ci. big block Chevrolet backed by a M-21 Muncie 4 Speed (completely rebuilt & ready to go). The rear differential is a Ford 8" (highway gears). It has 35 Ford wire wheels with new hubcaps, rings, and tires (brand spanking new tires on front, like new on rear) The front suspension consists of a new chrome Lucky 7 drilled I beam axle, new chrome parts consist of: wishbones, shackles, draglink, spindles and new Speedway disc brakes. It also has a new chrome vega steering box. It has a new fuel pump, new fuel line, and a new spun aluminum fuel tank. It has a new chrome 1 wire alternator and all brand new wiring. The headlights/taillights/brakelights are all functional as well as rear turn signals. It sports frenched original '59 cadillac taillights. The license plate has also been frenched and a rear roll pan has been added. The ignition system is new, reman points distributor, new resisted coil, new plugs & wires, and new wiring. The radiator, belts, hoses are new. The inside & outside door handles are new. Interior consists of 2 seats and 3 pedals. Very sparse...no working gauges, etc. It has a hurst shifter & linkage (shifts super smooth!). The engine runs awesome, but is starting to seep oil out the front seal. Other than that, there is not one thing wrong with the car! This car was built to debut at Goodguys in Des Moines, IA. It made the 300 mile maiden voyage without a hitch and handles awesome on the interstate and through city traffic. It has right around 1000 miles on it...been to a few local shows and cruises. At that time it had a tunnel ram with 2 4bbls on it and it still got around 10mpg. Just put the single carb intake on it, so not sure what it will do for mileage now. I do have video of the car running/driving but cannot get it to upload, so if you'd like to see it just contact me. I also have complete build photos of the car if you're interested in those as well. This car was built with full intentions of keeping it, but other projects have come along and it's time to start something new. I've had many hotrods over the years, and this coupe is definitely my favorite by far. It's a blast to drive, it's fast, it's fun and it runs down the road like a dream. The car is obviously in primer, but is ready for some light finish work and paint. You can call me at (712)370-0709 with any questions, or email and I'll get back with you.
