Vehicle Detail
Dad rebuilt the 283 when he bought the car, and it is all stock with original 2bbl carb, manifolds, air cleaner, etc. We drove it into the lot where it was parked and the motor still turns by hand. I'm sure it will run but we don't have time to clean the fuel ststem, etc to get it going again. The suffix code is F0603 GF or CF - hard to read. We always thought it was the original engine but I can't guarantee that. Car rolls free and the missing steel stock wheel is included - the aluminum z28 wheel will be replaced with one that holds air. The body and frame are rough. We stopped driving it in the late 80's when the rear lower control arm pulled out of the frame. There is also significant rust in the rail under the driver's door. One gas tank strap is broken. Trunk floor and passenger side floor has rust through, the quarters, fender bottoms and door corners also have rust out. However the door bottoms look solid. All the convertible pieces are intact - rear seats, trim panels, sunvisors, etc. The header bow is in excellent and the top frame isn't locked up. Motor is untested but woked years ago. The only options on the car are power steering and the powerglide trans. We will include a nice pair of coupe/convertible doors with the car as well. I purchased a very solid frame to replace the one under this car, and will make it available to the high bidder for an additional $500. It includes front suspension, steering and brakes, and the rear control arms but no axle. Clear Ohio title. Car is currently stored in my warehouse in Dayton Oh, just off I-75 near exit 56. Delivery may be possible for a fee. Please inquire. My father can be available to show the car if necessary. Thanks for looking!
