Vehicle Detail
1972 Honda CB175 k6. This is a low mileage (8890 miles) time capsule- all original. Runs, stops, and shifts great. The Good- Tank was de-rusted and then Caswell coated.Carbs were cleaned and jets, needles, and slides replaced.Points were adjusted.Neutral, High-beam, etc. idiot light work.Brakes function well. Seat cover is in perfect condition- no rips or other damageAll original Honda stickers and labels intact, including battery coverNew fuel and crossover lines installed.NOS Honda petcock.Dealer installed ignition key relocation kit. Its a blast to ride! Will do 50mph no problem.Comes with original manual The Bad- Turn Signal relay no longer functioning- you get a solid light, not a flasher.Likes to run rich.Tachometer cable is broken. Right muffler has two small holes in it. Not too noticeable until you floor it. Lower Fork drain bolt head snapped off. I don't have a screw extractor but its a quick and easy fix for someone who does. Original front tire! Rear was replaced some time in the 80's.No Title - A New Jersey title, issued in 1979, will be included with the sale. Unfortunately the "second" owner signed the title but never transferred it. Subsequent owner(s) did not transfer the title either. I was told both the titled and second owners are deceased. In our area this bike would be difficult to title. Verify you can title the bike in your state before bidding! The Ugly- Couple scratches here and there. The original Honda chrome was pretty thin to begin with.Left header pipe has some rust on it. Chrome is bubbling in a couple places. Tank has a few scratches on it. Overall this is a really sweet little bike, which is a blast to ride and gets between 50 and 60 mpg. Comes with new tubes, chain, and master link N.B. This is an almost 40 year old bike. Do not bid if you are expecting a pristine starter bike for Christmas! You are investing in a relationship :) Payment and Shipping- Deposit by PayPal within 48h of closing. Cash on pick up. For alternate arrangements contact me before bidding. Shipping is at purchaser's expense. If shipping I can meet the shipper at location of bike (my house), which is next to Philadelphia. Contact me before bidding to discuss alternative shipping arrangements.
