You are bidding on a reliable around town vehicle. It has not been on the Interstate for trips more than 22 miles since we have owned it. It always starts...the engine, auto transmission and 4 wheel drive unit run smooth. Front brakes have about 10K miles and all 4 matching tires about half tread. The interior is generally good shape although a previous owner was a smoker...see the pictures. Now the outside is tight but we live in the ice and snow of central Illinois and have worked to keep ahead of rust and winter grime. There are several shades of white and a few layers of paint over fender areas of fiberglass upkeep. Together with a few small dents and scratches, I would give it a 4 at 50 feet and a 2-3 at 10 feet. It has engine area oil seep and requires a quart about every 4 to 6 weeks. This is a basic model...hand crank windows, pull knob door locks, but it does have power steering and assist brakes. The factory radio works ok. Everything that is suppose to work seems to work....heater, defrost, turn signals etc. No broken glass, lights all work, locks and door handles work...even the back door works and locks correctly. We are not the original owner...check the car fax... but since we have owned it the Sidekick is used 15 more or less miles a day, 364 days a year delivering about town. (Not on Christmas Day! It is easy to park, gets thru snow and storms without creating concern and we don't fret if a branch or hail ball happens. It gets regular oil changes, grease, air filters etc. If you have any questions, use contact the seller.... The reserve is set at a fair but low amount. On Nov-19-11 at 12:58:45 PST, seller added the following information: ps...to answer a couple of questions...No, it does not have A/C and the looks were based upon a 5...based on a 10, I would go a 7.5 at 50 ft and a 3.5 at 10...maybe a 3, but then I have seen several 1 and 2 in my time that have rust holes thru the body... this has none of that.On Nov-22-11 at 15:21:10 PST, seller added the following information: pps... a fellow came by and looked at it today and suggested I not be so hard in describing the paint... the fiber glass hole filler is very slight and holds much better than bondo... so it's a 5 of 10 at 10 feet...also, I put a set of Borsh Platinum 2 plugs in it today... should have done that a long time ago, the old plugs look good but had burned to about 80 thousand. Hope this info helps... by the way, we bought a 2000 Suzuki Vitara to take the 96 Sidekick's place...it's easier to get into the old square body style than the 2000 curved style...otherwise much the same vehicle size wise.On Nov-24-11 at 10:36:39 PST, seller added the following information: I have made a mistake...althoug it says a deposit must be made within 48 hours...it does not say how much.
