Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a very special, hard to find 1994 short bed Z71 pickup truck, Bilstine shocks and all. This is a Cheyenne model...special ordered by the original owner. As you can see from the pictures, this truck is in excellent condition. I have gone over it carefully and will describe it to you honestly. Two items need attention: The muffler is gutted.. and with a 6 cylinder, to me it is loud (sounds like a teenager's truck)! The AC compressor when charged and operating bubbles (leaks) around the front shaft. That is all that I found that should be repaired. Now the good report: The truck has a factory "Saints football" paint job...mostly black with gold trim along the bottom. I have crawled under with a flashlight and found NO rust, no dents, no signs of it ever being wrecked, clean chrome bumpers and a tight front end. All the glass is clean, no cracks or chips. The interior is clean with factory installed rubber (washable) floor covering. The bed has a "duraliner" covering, the wheels are factory alloy with 265 x 16 tires (about half tread). The doors and windows are all electric and work well. Tilt-steering. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the manual 4 wheel drive gear box shifts and rolls easily. It has a factory radio. The brakes have half the lining remaining. This 4.3 V-6 engine, short bed automatic should get very good mpg if driven correctly. I greased the front end, all joints took grease well, changed the oil and filter. The power steering fluid, brake fluid and antifreeze levels are correct. There is a very small oil spot under the engine after a trip but none while it sets. There is a posted caution about possible storm damage (flooding) during past hurricans in Baton Rouge...all vehicles titled in Louisiana during that time carry this notation. This vehicle was never in a position nor did it receive any storm damage of any type. If you have any questions email me at skootie27@cox.net or 225-445-1373. I am not the original owner but am the present legal owner and have a clean title. The truck is also for sale locally. PS...I just received an email requesting information about the drive-ability and engine condition. It drives very well, engine is smooth as is the transmission...no front or rear wheel bearing noise, it does not pull. I have not driven it since the pictures were taken... it has been stored under lock and key behind a fenced area since then. Hopes this helps. On Nov-17-11 at 15:48:31 PST, seller added the following information: PPS...In response to a question concerning the oil spot...upon rechecking I found it was coming from the aluminum casting that holds the oil filter. I tightened the bolts and "no leak" anymore. Thank you for your interest.
