1972 BUICK RIVIERA BOATAIL RIV BUY IT NOW, DRIVE IT HOME!!!!! NO RESERVE!! Description : 1972 BUICK RIVIERA BOAT TAIL SPECIAL! CLEAR TEXAS TITLE IN MY NAME! This has been and will continue to be my daily driver til auction end. Driven 32 miles a day (round trip) to work. Gets a solid 18 MPG on the highway. I have lowered the price to 2800....please don't insult me with lowball offers. If it does not sell for this...I'll keep it no problem. Yes it is the original 455 engine! Car runs good. Engine does not smoke or have and knocks or lifter noise, RUNS AS IT SHOULD! Strong tight Turbo 400 automatic. Engine has Edelbrock 455 manifold and a very recent Edelbrock 4 Barrel carb on it. It will get you a ticket real easy if your not paying attention. Power windows all work back two are slow from non-use. Drivers window goes up and down cock-eyed (needs attention) but motor is strong. Drivers power seat works great. Cruise is all there but not connected to the carb. AC stuff is there put not hooked up and does not work. Power door locks work great. Has aftermarket Sony radio/cassette.(dash has not been cut up!) Blinkers are slow blinking, I was told it is probably a "flasher" Good headliner with no tears. Seats were redone years back, front drivers and passengers seats are great. The back seat has 2 splits on the seams (a very easy repair) and a stain which will come out with some elbow grease. Tires are good. I had the master cylinder replaced within the past month. Car has front disc brakes, drums in rear and stops good. Car needs a little tlc and I am getting old and do not have the ambition and drive I had 30 years ago to "puff it up". Thinning down my stable and moving towards other interests. This car can be driven home...not some "barn find"! THIS CAR CAME FROM CALIFORNIA AND HAS BEEN IN THE DRY CLIMATE OF TEXAS...NOT A "BONDO BUGGY" Small store parking lot hit and run bruise on the right front fender...yea the guy did not even leave a # ...just took off. As you can see some rust is starting by the trunk lip by the keyhole area. Has new trunk liner and the 5th original wheel, which is not rusted (that's Texas "red dirt" you see on it). The underside of the car is not rotted out!!!! and not rotted around the rear window ,like so many of these cars. No tears in the vynil roof. Dashboard has cracks from the hot sun.
