Vehicle Detail

Parked and stored 15 years ago, the previous owner's mechanic told him the engine had a dead cylinder. We bought the car thinking at worse, we could put one of our extra engines in it, but found that the engine was fine. We have been driving it around daily. It appears to be unmolested, 140 hp 4 carb motor with excellent power and performance. No leaks, starts and runs great, the transmission is tight and shifts well, positraction rear end. Steering is light and easy, ride is smooth and flat on corners, handles great. Recent work: Disassembled carburetors, cleaned and adjusted. Cleaned fuel lines, fresh battery, new exhaust, heater cable and new blower fan. Disassembled dash, cleaned, and replaced bulbs , and headlight switch. Glass and chrome is in above average condition. Interior is very good-door panels are straight & without defect. None of the seats have holes or splits, there is one small abrasion on the lower back seat. Dash pad is good with 2 tiny cracks at the edge of the speaker less than 1/8". Carpet is nice, clean and serviceable. Brand new tan top from Clarks Corvair, we had it professionally installed 2 weeks ago. It is a manual top. Body is without any serious rust. The previous owner had it painted prior to parking it, reasonable paint, not perfect, but presentable. A couple of small dings and scratches from storage. Nice color, the paint job could use wet sanding and touch up, the car would make an excellent driver as is. Wire wheel covers were disassembled, cleaned and in good condition with minor defects-driver quality. Fly in and drive it home. Won't need a trailer for this beauty. If you are looking for a solid Corvair convertible, great engine/transmission, don't wait until spring. A very nice car in Aztec Bronze, which you don't see much, for considerably less than others here on ebay. We have 10 Corvairs, and don't have room to store this one, please check our website at JTVairs.com for more photos and details. This car is for sale locally, we have the right to end this auction early. Please contact us, we may be able to deliver the car.
