This auction is for my BMW 2007 R1200RT. This bike only has 8,900 miles on it and that’s why I’ve decided to sell it. I simply don’t have the time available to ride the bike right now so I’m going to sell it and hopefully get back into riding later when my life slows down a bit. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this bike and I’ve included many pictures for you to review. I’ve always had service work (oil changes, etc.) done at St. Louis Gateway BMW and the bike is up to date with all service bulletin work. I have all of the paperwork that goes with the bike such as manuals as well as the original BMW catalog that was made for this bike. The title is clear and payment will be either by cash or cashier’s check. I’m a 53 year old mechanical engineer at Boeing (30 years) and I started riding motorcycles in 2006. I’ve had some great trips but my job and other commitments are keeping me from riding so the bike just sits in the garage. I’m very meticulous with caring for my mechanical possessions as most BMW riders tend to be. I've included many pictures and you'll be able to see that all of the buttons and rider contact points on the bike look new since it has such low mileage and has always been kept in a garage. This bike has been adult ridden and is in excellent condition as you can see from the pictures but if you have any questions at all just let me know and I would be happy to answer them for you. The last service included changing the brake fluid, oil & filter, as well as installing brand new Michelin tires so this bike is ready to go. I’ve watched auctions on ebay for a while and have never seen one with all these features, low miles, and new tires so I know this is a premium package for the buyer. As you can see from the feedback on ebay, I have a solid reputation and you can feel confident that everything in this auction is exactly as described and you’ll be extremely pleased with your purchase. The dealer simply traded the tupperware with a silver bike he had in his inventory and the VIN shown on the invoice matches the bike so that is not an error regarding the color listed on the invoice. I will start the auction at a price of $12,750 for bidding. I’ll also include a buy-it-now feature for $14,000 for anyone that already knows that they want the bike and the included accessories for this price. I am willing to meet you at the airport if you want to do a fly-and-ride type of purchase. I’ve done that before when I purchased my previous bike (a BMW K1200LT) in Atlanta and it was simple and also a good adventure. The person I worked with was extremely accommodating and I’ll do the same for anyone that needs that help. We can ship the original seat and windshield to you since those won’t travel well on the bike. I also have a huge collection of items that I’ve purchased that are not included with this auction. I've purchased three bikes without a test ride and sold two without offering a test ride so I prefer to maintain that process. Insurance is also a risk with another rider on the bike. Upon the sale of the bike (transfer of payment and signed title) the buyer will obviously be able to ride the bike. If for any reason the buyer wants to cancel the purchase within 1 hour of riding the bike I will return the check and we will transfer the title back in my name.
