2005 Audi TT project vehicle. I purchaced this car with the intention of using for my daily driver. It needs to have cylinder head replaced, I have removed it already and inspected cylinder walls and piston tops. The transmission also needs to be repaired. I drove the car before removing the head and it has trouble shifting into upper gears. The transmission shop said it can be just the solenoids that are causing the issue. The vehicle has about 72,000 miles the reason for removing the head is because the cam chain tensioner was making noise. After removing the valve cover I noticed the bearing of one camshaft had been damaged. Causing the head to need replaceing. I no longer have the time to complete this project and can use the money instead. The body and interior is in great shape, black exterior with tan leather interior. All other systems work as they should, I purchaced the car from the original owner, it has not had any accidents and the paint is all original. This is an excellent vehicle for someone to restore and have a very cool daily driver or sell and make a profit. The kbb value of this car is 10-12 K I have done the research and the complete new head with gaskets, bolts and timing belt kit is about 1K the transmission shop told me the worst case scenario on the transmission would be about 2K for a total rebuild, if it is just the solenoids a few hundred would fix it.
