This custom built Shelby GT500 Restomod’s life started as a vintage thoroughbred 68’ Mustang Fastback before being transformed into the gem it is today. It is finished in a beautiful Patriot Blue with Viper White racing stripes. This machine has undergone a total makeover in the last two years and features period correct early 67’ Shelby parts, with several “Eleanor” accents adding to its uniqueness. Only the very best products were used in building this beast, including parts from Shelby, Ford Racing, Total Control Products, JBA, Holley, Maier Racing, Painless, PS Engineering and Baer, among others. Every item used in this build is a top of the line, no expense spared part. And, the work was done by professionals who know vintage Mustangs inside and out. All the work was completed by Nemesis Motorsport, a well known and respected leader in the custom automotive market specializing in restoring vintage Mustangs and custom building Eleanor Mustangs and its own creation, the Nemesis Mustang (featured on the cover of the April, 2008, edition of Mustangs & Ford Magazine) and unveiled at SEMA in 2007. The Ford Racing 302ci engine has approximately 13,000 miles and has been run on either C12 Racing Fuel or 100 Octane Gas with NOS Octane Booster. Oil changes have been completed using Royal Purple Racing Oil (over $15/quart). The transmission is a Tremec 5 Speed. The engine was built by a master mechanic who intended to race it so this speed demon has all the power and speed any sane person could possibly need. As I understand it, the mechanic/race car driver ran into financial trouble and sold it to the gentleman I bought it from. The car never saw the race track, but would have most certainly performed well if it had. And, the car sounds absolutely amazing!! The true dual H Pipe exhaust gives this car a clean and unrelenting gurgle, which is prominently heard in the video and sounds even better in person. Except as noted elsewhere in the listing, the interior is original and in good shape. The seats, carpet and headliner are all in very nice shape. The interior is highlighted by a Moto Lita Mahogany Steering wheel, Flaming River Stainless Steel Tilt Steering Column, TCP Billet Aluminum pedal covers, Shelby deluxe aluminum dash panel autographed by the man himself, Carroll Shelby installed (I am including the Certificate of Authenticity from the Carroll Shelby Foundation) and the ONLY licensed gauges from Shelby, the Shelby AutoMeter Gauges. Please note that these are the Shelby Autometer Gauges with Deluxe Bezel (it took me EIGHT months to receive this hand-built masterpiece and the deluxe bezel is a $500.00 upgrade). I am also including various parts that I have on hand including various gaskets, app. 1 case of Royal Purple Racing Oil ($150.00), fuel and oil filters, etc. I also have a complete detailing kit from Griot's Garage that I will include if the winning bidder wants it. The detailing kit includes a buffer and various polishes and cleaning products ($300 value). Most of these items have very little use as I decided to have this car professionally detailed once per month this year. THE FOLLOWING WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN THE LAST MONTH: ALL AREAS OF IMPERFECTIONS IN THE PAINT THAT APPEARED AFTER THE CAR WAS PAINTED LAST YEAR HAVE BEEN FIXED, REPAINTED AND BLENDED. THE SHELBY AUTOMETER GAUGES W/DELUXE BEZEL HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. THE DASH PANEL AUTOGRAPHED BY CARROLL SHELBY HAS BEEN INSTALLED. NEW SIDE-VIEW MIRRORS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. THE FOG LIGHT SWITCH HAS BEEN INSTALLED. ROTORS HAVE BEEN CLEANED. THE CARB AND ENGINE WILL BE TUNED AND THE CAR WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND DETAILED BEFORE DELIVERY. BEFORE THE CAR WAS SENT TO THE BODY SHOP, THE SPARK PLUGS, SPARK PLUG WIRES, BOOTS AND AIR FILTER WERE REPLACED, AS WELL AS NUMEROUS GASKETS AND THE THROTTLE SPRING. FINALLY, AN OIL CHANGE WAS COMPLETED. IN SHORT, I HAVE DONE ALL I CAN TO ENSURE THAT THIS CAR RUNS AS WELL AND LOOKS AS STUNNING AS POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT OWNER.
