1969 Chevelle SS Vehicle previously from South Carolina Very solid condition considering this Chevelle is 42 years old. Has all original sheet metal which is in good condition. The usual dog legs on the front fenders have some rust but not gone by any means, the rear quarters are surprisingly in the same condition. The trunk as you see in the pics has a whole the size of a half dime and some surface rust. The floors show some sign of minimal rust around the pop out covers and the passenger front floor has a 2ft by 2ft area where your feet rest replaced. Overall the metal on this car is in good condition and all the body lines have equal gap. The paint as you can see is missing most of the clear coat. Someone could sand this car down, perform minimal body repair and have a very nice and straight driver. The drivetrain is a big block Chevy which has a radical cam, and all the name brand parts. Someone has spent some money on this engine. The engine oil pressure and temp are very steady and impressive as I drove this home from a long distance when I purchased the vehicle. Behind the engine is a TH350 which has significant shifting ability, I have recently installed a 2500 stall as the one I took out was leaking, while it was out I installed front seal, speedo seal and dipstick o ring as well as a new transmission mount. The rear end is a 12 bolt posi which I think is a 4.10 ratio I just installed moog rear coil springs and summit adjustable shocks and the vehicle now has stock ride height. The front disc brakes appear original and work as they should The tires are in great condition This vehicle can be driven anywhere, it is very solid and the above is all I know about it as I have not had much time to tinker with it Very nice car for the inexperienced builder to the experienced builder Any questions you can reach me at 614-506-4200, hate to get rid of it but have other projects to attend. On Nov-03-11 at 17:10:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Vin is 136379b380972 but in 69 the vin will not decode for an ss. The sure fire way is 72 or 73 paint code but you could get the ss package special with any paint. The rear is 12 bolt kk i believe which is 4.10 from ss and the fuel line is 3/8 single line which is big block car. I have not tried to find the build sheet which is usally in rear seat. the engine is 396 350hp coded eu which is 1968 engine. Like I stated I have not touched this car much.
