Untitled Document 1999 Jeep Cherokee, 4WD, 4.0L LOTS of upgrades, religiously maintained, BULLETPROOF reliability. Over $4,500 in installed extras! High end Alpine audio, 35 extra horsepower in engine modifications, 4 wheel DISC brakes, 2" Lift, NEW BFG Tires, Interior like new, and much more. Upgrades, costs, and dates 2011 - New high end Alpine audio system, apx. $700 total Alpine CDA-117 head unit and Alpine KPT-445 Amplifier for a true 45x4 RMS and incredible fidelity. 4 Polk Audio 2-way speakers and an 8" powered sub complete the system. The head unit is fully customizable in countless ways and includes an auxillary USB input for thumb drives. I just dumped all my tunes on a 16 gig thumb drive and haven't touched a CD since. The sound system is absolutely incredible now. 2011 - Edge Trail Jammer intake, throttle body, and computer chip, $700 These 3 parts combine to make approximately 20 additional horsepower with HUGE improvement in throttle response. I have seen no drawbacks to this kit and fuel economy is unchanged. 2011 - Stainless APN Exhaust headers, $160 and a whole lot of work! Another big improvement over the stock part, this is worth 10-15 horse and is much stronger than the stock header (which always cracks on Cherokees) 2011 - New cat-back exhaust system, $350 2011 - Front tow hooks installed, $75 2010 - 2" Lift Kit, $250 2" Rubicon Express lift with all new shocks. Custom made 1" transfer case lowering bracket to keep stock driveline angle. 2010 - New Tires and Wheels, $1050 BF Goodrich 30x9.5R15 All-Terrain Tires and Aluminum 5-spoke Wheels off of a mid-2000's Wrangler. Set of 5 total (full size spare). I still have original steel rims if you want them. My last set of this identical tire had 80,000 miles on them and still had some tread left (which is incredible for an all-terrain tire on a 4wd). These tires are like new and only have apx 10,000 miles on them. Lifetime balance, rotation, and flat repair included from Costco. Tire cost was $690 alone. 2010 - Rear disc brakes installed, $400 This Cherokee has 4 wheel disc brakes which was not a factory option (these are from a Grand Cherokee). The stopping power is incredibly improved now (far better than stock) and are perfectly balanced with the front discs. 2009 - New high-flow catalytic converter, O2 sensors, and header to cat pipe, $300 2009 - IPF Headlights and bulbs - $163 IPF H4 Conversion Lens and IPF X51 Fatboy Bulbs for much brighter than stock low and high beams 2005? - Roof rack - $250 Aluminum roof rack. This can be removed in 5 minutes if you don't want to use it (4 bolts and it's off). I've found it very handy on many occasions and practically speaking it's been great. However, the black paint is coming off in spots, which is disappointing. It is very sturdy. 2002 - Reese hitch and trailer wiring - $200 2" receiver hitch and 4 way flat wiring harness. I pull a trailer frequently so these are an obvious must have. With all the power from the engine upgrades this thing really tows great. Other Important Info: I have owned this vehicle since 2000. It only had 7000 miles when I aquired it, so I know it inside and out. It has had all synthetic AMSOIL fluids since 72,000 miles in 4/2005. This includes axles and transmission. Before that I only used Valvolene. I have NEVER had any breakdown or serious repair in my 12 years and 140,000 miles of ownership. This vehicle is as reliable as they come. I have full maintenance records for the entire ownership period with date, mileage, and note for all service performed. Exterior had wear and tear typical of somethign this age, but nothing significant. Some rock chips on the front, little scratches here and there, nothing major. The darker discoloration on the plastic trim behind the wheels in the photos is due to the "wheel shine" at the car wash getting a little off target. This will wash off in a no time. Interior is immaculate. I keep it clean and tidy and I am a not a smoker. The only issue inside is the cracked vinyl on the bottom outside of the driver's seat (visible in photos). Other than that, no stains, tears, scratches, or damage anywhere. The only prep work I did for the photos shown was a trip through the car wash and some vacuuming. I think it should be obvious that I've taken good care of this Jeep. With the upgrades I've made, I can honestly say this vehicle handles, accellerates, and stops better than it did new. And, the sound system is guaranteed to make you smile every time you turn it on. This Jeep has been my baby for a very long time and I'm sad to see it go. The only reason I'm selling is that I really need a pickup for my business and there's no sense in keeping two vehicles. One thing to note is that this does not have a "clean title" as it is considered rebuilt. This was totaled by the insurance company of the original owner when it was new with 7,000 miles. As far as I could tell, the owner rear-ended someone then was subsequently rear-ended themselves. The tail-gate was dented in and the front bumper and fenders dented. The damage was not that serious, but for some reason it was totaled by insurance (probably because it was still new at the time). My father is an auto body guy and did the repair work. That accident has had zero relevance since it was fixed, and as I said earlier, I have never once had any breakdown or repair (only routine maintence) in 12 years and 140,000 miles of ownership and have the records to prove it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. This is a great vehicle for anyone who needs a super reliable 4 wheel drive with zero headaches. On Nov-11-11 at 10:57:46 PST, seller added the following information:**Added info 11/11/11** My wife reminded me of something I forgot to mention but want to get out there so there are no surprises. There were some spots of surface rust on the roof. This summer I lightly sanded then sealed those spots up with rust neutralizer. The neutralizer dries to kind of a semi-transparent black and blends with the dark paint color. However, you can see the spots if you are looking down on the roof. I had planned to repaint the roof this coming spring and wanted to seal those spots before winter. There are no other rust spots except those on the roof and I don't know why this happened there. I don't think I can add photos to the listing at this point, but if this is of concern to anyone just send me a message with your email address and I'll take some photos to send to you.
