Vehicle Detail
I am the third owner of this Jeep. The original owner had it at a cabin in California until around 2005. Owner two inherited the Jeep and brought it out of the mountains. It had not been registered since the mid eighties. Owner two got the Jeep roadworthy but really wanted a sand buggy. He sold it to me and I brought it to TX in early 2010. I have enjoyed the Jeep but do not want to go further with the restoration. The Jeep looks good but does have 46 years of scratches, dings and normal wear and tear. Everything works. It runs and drives excellent. It does have leaks but again normal for a 46 year old vehicle. This Jeep has a clear title. I can provide a certified title history from Texas if you would like. I have two Jeeps and this one has to go. Thanks for looking. 1965 Jeep CJ5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV. • 17,7XX original miles • Manufactured by Kaiser October 1964 • VIN: 8322 12071 • V-6 Dauntless crate engine with dual exhaust was installed in 1968 • 4 Speed, single stick transfer case • GM 3-wire alternator • 2/3 -- 1/3 seat and rear seat • White safari style top (no sides or doors) • Vacuum wipers The items listed below have less than 2,500 miles on them: • Tune up • Alternator and belt • Fuel pump • Carburetor rebuilt • Fuel tank & fuel cap • Tires • Brakes and master cylinder • Drive train fluids serviced • Wiring refurbished • Clutch What it needs: That depends on your desires. It is fine like it is if you want to drive it. It is a perfect candidate for restoration. There is a small bit of rust by the tail lights. The floor is very solid. LF corner of the tub needs a new panel installed. The seats need upholstery. You have the opportunity to own a great, unmolested Tux. Thanks again, Mark
