Near Mint 1989 Honda CR 250 Motocross Time Capsule PERFECT Condition AHRMA Now here is something that you rarely, if ever, see in this condition: I am selling a nearly brand new 1989 Honda CR250 Motocross bike. This bike is nearly 100% OEM Stock and is a very good, low hour, nearly mint condition example of the 89 CR 250. I have a clean US title for this bike. This bike would be ideal for a collector, or a vintage AHRMA retro motocross racer. I Thought I would race this bike, but it is too nice, so it ended up sitting in my garage and I just stared at it, thinking of Jeff Stanton, Guy Cooper and Ricky Johnson all racing these bikes back in 1989. I bought this from the original owner who rode it in the desert only. He was an old timer and said it has never been ridden in the rain, mud or rocks. This is only possible in California I think, but what do I know…. Details: Everything appears to be original and all stock. All the plastic is in good very good shape. It is all OEM Honda plastic. No aftermarket junk. Includes the wider footpegs (stock pegs with a second set welded around them) Alumilight handle bars Good chain and sprocket Good brake pads Starts and runs perfectly Answer muffler w/ spark arrestor (Check my other auction for the OEM NOS stock exhaust pipe which is basically like new) Seat is clean, no rips or tears. No bends or rips in plastic either. Frame is barley worn down where boots rub against on shifter side Bars and levers are all straight and have no issues. Other notes: Rear tire is about 50% of life. 3 small holes drilled in rear fender for a fanny pack bag. They are hardly noticeable. Sticker on front number plate is a California registration.
