First year of the four door hardtop named, 'Sport Sedan'. Original colors of Gypsy Red and Dune Beige with factory interior. Correct weave carpets, with perfect headliner and door panels. Silver beading and buttons on seats in perfect condition. You would not think anyone had sat in the car! Options include power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, factory skirts, EZ Eye glass and the power pack engine with four barrel carb and dual exhaust. The FACTORY air conditioning is fully charged and cools to original specification. (Less than 1% of cars in 1956 were factory air conditioned.) General Motors used two manufacturers for their A/C units. Harrison and Fridgidaire, this unit is a Harrison unit. There is a factory installed knob, under the dash, to increase idle at stop lights with the A/C running and this is explained in the Owner's Manual. I purchased the vehicle from North Carolina, some years ago and have enjoyed cruising throughout the southeast. I have too many vehicles and so it's time to sell. The car is available in Jacksonville, Florida and I desire for prospective bidders to both view and drive the car. Althought not a 'trailer queen' this car will make you proud to own it. It has been consistantly maintained and is garaged in climate controlled storage. The wide white walls that I removed from the car and replaced with radials are included in the sale.
