1970 GTO 455 HO 4 speed convertible with option #601 Ram Air Here is an opportunity to build your own extremely rare GTO, one of two known to exist and Pontiac Historical Society documented. For 1970 it was the most Horespower, largest motor combination you could purchase in a convertible. Health issues are forcing sale of this car. The body and parts have been acid dipped and put in metal etch primer. You can really see what your getting. There is rust repair to be done, but I would classify it as somewhat minor compared to most convertibles. Ecspecially considering it was properly exposed and treated. It will need patching in the normal places, like lower quarters, a few spots on the trunk and floor area. Most of these are near the braces. The metal is still very thick. It will also need some patching on the Ram Air hood. The rockers, doors,and firewall are solid. The frame was sandblasted, epoxy primed and painted with a satin polyurethane paint. The chassis has been completely rebuilt and is ready to go. New brakes, brake lines, bearings etc. The car is complete body wise except there is no transmission, a period correct "WA" code block is included with crank, bucket seats, no rear seat, no heads or carb, but the rear end is. (it is original to the car). So there are some hard to find parts missing and we have figured to price it accordingly. TO MAKE IT REAL INTERESTING, WE REMOVED THE RESERVE!!!!
