Beautiful example of a 1967 Triumph TR4A Very low 59,373 miles Here is the description by the dealer of our TR4A when we bought it in 2008: “Triumph TR4A, ...an interesting history....was taken to a restoration shop in 1978 (with 58,000 original miles), disassembled and partially restored, ABANDONDED by its owner...and left to sit until 2003. At which time it was purchased by the owner of another restoration shop who finished the work. Body removed, chassis restored, ABSOLUTELY RUST FREE, nicely painted and detailed underneath. Excellent engine (150 psi compression in every cylinder, 50 psi oil pressure, no smoke), new clutch, excellent 4 speed all synchro trans, all new metal and flex brakes lines, new master cylinders, rebuilt calipers with stainless steel pistons, new wheel cylinders, new parking brake cables (etc. etc. etc.), rebuilt carbs, new wiring harness, new clutch hydraulics, rebuilt fuel pump. AND.......new carpets, interior panels, seats, top, wood dash, mostly new chrome, mostly new electrics, new radials and tubes, new wood Moto Lita steering wheel. A gorgeous TR4A...far more stylish than a run-of-the-mill TR6, far better to drive (and own) than a TR3. A wonderful 110mph classic sports car. AM NOT suggesting a serious show car BUT certainly sufficiently clean and original for most low key shows.” Since that time the following work has been done: · Replaced dimmer switch · Repacked and replaced wheel bearings and seals · Replaced front engine mounts · Replaced thermostat · Replaced wiper arms · Replaced differential with a used differential · Replaced latches for soft top · Fixed wiring for turn signals · Re-cored the radiator · Replaced ignition coil, woodruff key, ignition rotor, distributor cap, fan belt · Lubrication, tune-ups, timing.
