1985 Honda ATC 250r 100% Completely OEM and Stock Original Hello vintage Honda and ATC / 3 wheeler fans!!! Up for sale is a super rare totally clean and 100% stock ’85 Honda ATC 250r water cooled model. There is not ONE non OEM Honda bolt on this bike. Details on this bike: This bike is completely 100% stock, right down to the tires and grips. This bike is in good clean condition for its age. I am the second owner, and bought it from the original owner about one year ago. The bike all there, and this is a true survivor from the era when three wheelers were king. According to the previous owner, the bike was ridden pretty much exclusively at Pismo Beach, and sometimes at Glamis. PLEASE NOTE: Regarding shipping, I have truck crossing the country this Friday and can ship via uncrated freight. Details about this bike: · No missing OEM parts, and starts on the first kick. Just like it came off the dealership floor! · Its clean. It does have light surface rust on the axle in the normal spot and some wear marks on the frame. · The plastic is in very good shape, it is 100% OEM stock, seat has NO rips, tears or breaks. Some normal scuffing from wear. The fenders are actually in really, really good shape for their age. · I have a clean California title for this bike · I have new decals for the rear fenders (the number plates), but I could not bear to cover the vintage and historical "Boardmanville Trading Post" sticker from Glamis, which is a true relic from the past (and the only non OEM part on the bike). · The bike starts, idles and runs perfectly. The previous owner told me he never took the bike apart and it is still on its original top end. This seems fine and the bike runs strong. It does NOT need to be replaced from what I can tell. · I would rate rear Stock Ohtsu tires at 45% tread life. Not new, but still somewhat thick and meaty. They are original. · Seat, swing arm are all clean. · Shrouds have little cracks along the bolt holes, but this is common on every older 250r. These shrouds are still available from Honda if you wanted to replace them. · If I were to restore this bike, I would paint the frame, replace the rear tires and fork boots. All these parts are available from Honda and are not that expensive. But, I am anal about my bike and it does look fine as it sits. Thess parts are not required, am just sayin'... Overall, I would rate this bike an 8 or 8.5 out of 10. I award points for the fact it is 100% stock and has never been taken apart, and is thus true surviving un-restored original bike. Finding an ATC that has not been restored or molested is rare, and this is a great example of one. This machine would make a great great rider, or and even better winter restoration project. If you do want to restore, you really wont have to buy more than 2-3 parts, and at a total cost of under $150. The only other cost is your labor, and I think this would make an awesome winter project.
