The vehicle was taken to the local BMW dealership for diagnostic and a used vehicle inspection ( International Autos 414-543-3000) . It was found that the Oil separator was clogged and not allowing the engine to breath, in addition the Valley pan gasket below the intake manifold was leaking, along with some miscellaneous items on the vehicle that needs to be fixed. The oil separator and the valley pan is a known issue for these X5, just Google (X5 Oil separator and X5 Valley pan), In addition I performed a 140 PT inspection of the overall vehicle. The BMW Dealer International Autos Inspection along with Euro Imports vehicle inspection can be found in the links below. All items were fixed between both inspections with the exception of the cluster assembly. Below I have outlined all the items that were fixed. “ I must stress this point before you buy any X5 please know the vehicle overall condition and make sure to find out if the Valley pan and Oil Separator assemblies including hoses has been replaced, otherwise you may end up with a bill of over $3000.00, thank fully if you buy this X5 you need not worry about these items. The only other item that has not been fixed is the cluster assembly. This is a known issue and BMW of North America will typically replace the cluster assembly for a new one and just charge an hr of Installation, however they will not do it for car dealers or businesses, you have to be the owner. I had this done on my personal X5, the BMW dealer installed a new cluster and all I had to pay was for the installation, otherwise you could get a used cluster assembly on ebay. BMW X5: NEVADA VEHICLE, CLEAN TITLE, 2 OWNERS NO ACCIDENTS
This vehicle is in great condition, The exterior is extremely clean for a 10 year old vehicle, The interior is clean, all accessories are fully functional, the leather has no tears or rips, I purchase this vehicle earlier this year with the engine idling rough and runs intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the local BMW dealership for diagnostic and a used vehicle inspection ( International Autos 414-543-3000) . It was found that the Oil separator was clogged and not allowing the engine to breath, in addition the Valley pan gasket below the intake manifold was leaking, along with some miscellaneous items on the vehicle that needs to be fixed. The oil separator and the valley pan is a known issue for these X5, just Google (X5 Oil separator and X5 Valley pan), In addition I performed a 140 PT inspection of the overall vehicle. The BMW Dealer International Autos Inspection along with Euro Imports vehicle inspection can be found in the links below. All items were fixed between both inspections with the exception of the cluster assembly. Below I have outlined all the items that were fixed. “ I must stress this point before you buy any X5 please know the vehicle overall condition and make sure to find out if the Valley pan and Oil Separator assemblies including hoses has been replaced, otherwise you may end up with a bill of over $3000.00, thank fully if you buy this X5 you need not worry about these items.
The only other item that has not been fixed is the cluster assembly. This is a known issue and BMW of North America will typically replace the cluster assembly for a new one and just charge an hr of Installation, however they will not do it for car dealers or businesses, you have to be the owner. I had this done on my personal X5, the BMW dealer installed a new cluster and all I had to pay was for the installation, otherwise you could get a used cluster assembly on ebay.
