RARE..... 1965 Pontiac GTO Hardtop. Correct 1965 421 Equipped Block Code: YK (1965 376HP 421HO 3x2 carb, manual trans) PHS ( Pontiac Historical Society ) Documented M20 4-Speed , Tri-Power. Other options include : Pushbutton Radio & Manual Antenna (There is an Alpine Stereo mounted in the Glove Box, with CD Changer in the Trunk); Windshield Washer & Dual Speed Wipers ; Instrument Panel Pad ; Mirror, inside; Back up Lamps ; Power Steering ; Custom Sports Steering Wheel ; Soft ray Glass ; Bucket Seats w/Center Console ; Electric Clock ; Seat Belts ; A Colorado "Barnfind" in 1995 . Competely Professionally taken down to the metal and repainted in Los Angeles in 1996. The engine, suspension etc.. were all rebuilt to factory specs.Original Interior. Always garaged in SoCal, and regularly serviced Flawless Charcoal Grey Metallic (originally Cameo Ivory) with the Original Black Interior. It runs and drives like a dream. It needs nothing. No Rust .Original Body Panels. No Bondo. The Chrome and Glass are perfect The rear - end;Transmission:carbs; etc are all original to the car. My own car, I have owned it for 13 years. I aquired it from the CEO of Epitaph Records ( hence the stereo system:) ). He was the one who sought out this rare car and restored it. My 3rd Son was just born, which is why I am selling it. I'm sure I'll get some emails with the typical, "I wonder when someone put that 421 motor in it?" and "You know the 421 HO motor was not an option in the GTO." Those of you who are true Pontiac aficionados, however, know that you could, in fact, order a 421 HO dealer-installed motor. Racing was big in Colorado during the 1960's (thus "Bandimere Speedway", aka "Home of the Mile-High Nationals") so there are old and rare beasts around if you look for them. The motor is a correct coded 1965 HO...I. Also, Check NADA.COM , it lists the 421 as an option.
