Vehicle Detail
67 Chevy Shortbox Fleetside in good condition. I purchased this vehicle back 1991 from the original owner who was a farmer in Nebraska. The truck was only driven on the farm short distances and well maintained. Unfortunately the farmer passed away and his son received the truck in the estate. The son didn’t like the “old farm truck” and wanted to get rid of it. At the time it was bone stock and bright orange with a horrible ugly canopy on it, but ran like a top and was in great condition mechanically and the sheet metal was also. Originally it had a 327 V-8 with Column shift 3 speed. I converted to a 350 V-8 with TH350 Auto trans, with shift kit, and hurst speed shifter. The engine is very high performance with a high lift crane cam, roller tip rockers, pete Jackson gear drive, 10.5/1 compression and a dual feel Holly carb which is virtually brand new. The trim kit is Edelbrock. In the 90’s I did a frame off restoration and went put a completely new engine in it, even though it has very few miles on it. The current mileage shows 76884 and I believe that is actual. It was around 50K mileage when I purchased and I only drive it rarely for fun. Never a commuter vehicle. I lowered the suspension slightly to give it a better look but did not chop, French or alter any sheet metal . Currently most all the work has been done and its in good mechanical shape. If I were to keep the truck the next things that should be done are new bed wood, new rocker panel on drivers side, rub out the paint on the hood and new carpet on the floor. Those are fairly cheap items but would really upgrade the truck. FYI this has always been a non-smokers truck. It is fun to drive but its time to let someone else enjoy this truck. The 67 short wide box is extremely rare and sought after. And its even more rare to find one in really good shape like this. Most are scrap yard specials or super high dollar fully restored show only trucks. This truck looks nice but its still drive able. Its time for me to sell this and move on, I desperately need a 4X4 pickup. So trades might be an option for something of equal value. I have set the minimum at $2000 below the low book of $9,925 because I want this to sell. I cant afford to give it away but i think this price is more then reasonable. At that price it’s a steal as a driver or an investment also. And it will never depreciate, the value will only keep going up. Happy bidding and I truly hope my special truck finds a great new home. If your waiting for this to hit bottom dollar, this is it. Either the bidding will start at this price and it will sell, or I keep it. Im not dropping it any more. If not it will stay in my garage and I will give it to my kids one day which is fine. But Im not going to sell it for less then my current minimum. Its worth too much for that.. . Please feel free to call me with questions at 208-819-6862 The truck is located in North Idaho, near Spokane Washington.Shipping cost and arrangement will be the responsibility of the buyer. At end of auction $1000 deposit check will be required via fedex within 24 hours. The balance payable within 7 days. Failure to make the final payment will forfeit your deposit.
