Vehicle Detail
1979 RM125 N - This bike is pretty much all stock with the exception of the plastic. You can buy the stock style plastic online and it is easily mounted. The graphics are 1980 but the bike is a 1979. The seat cover is brand new and is the 79 logo. The frame is in great shape. All the brackets that tend to break off are there and have not been welded or fixed in any way. Most of the hardware has been re-zinced. This bike even has the air box cover which is pretty rare. The cylinder has a brand new bore of .040 with zero time on it - not even broke in yet. If you want to see it - I have photos. The bottom end has all new seals and gaskets. Main crank bearings felt ok - little tiny bit of runout but felt ok. Forks have been gone through and new fork seals installed. Rear shocks are correct for bike and still dampen good. The swing arm is in great shape - does not have the crack that these tend to get on the pivot of the swing arm. Newer Dunlop tires (not new - but newer). Newer sprockets as well. No rear chain guide but I do have a 79 250/400 rear chain guide that could be modified to work that I will throw in - or you can wait til the correct one pops up on eBay - they are easy to install. I do have a chain guard that I will include but it is not shown in the photos. This bike does not have a title but we will provide a bill of sale. Motor # RM125-86507, Frame # RM125-99093 This is a nice solid bike. Not ready for the museum but not far from it either. Wouldn't take much to get it to that point. Starts first kick and runs great. If you plan to race this bike I have a lot of extra parts that are also available. If interested, let me know and we can probably make some sort of deal on them. Short of a frame you could almost build another bike with what I have. $250.00 deposit required within 48 hours of end of auction via PayPal. Balance due prior to shipping (preferrably not via PayPal as the fees can get pretty high). Buyer is responsible for obtaining shipping quotes and arranging shipment. Bike is sold as-is. Thank you for looking at our auction. Please let us know if you have any questions.
