Up for auction is a 1970 454 Corvette. The drivetrain is all original and complete. This car was last on the road in 1981. It will need both portions of the frame ahead of the rear wheels replaced (dog legs). The previous owner hit a parked car and drove the car home after the accident. He never drove the car after that. I have not tried to start the engine but was assured that it ran great when parked. 30 years of sitting means preparing the engine to start is not just putting a battery in and turning the key. I planned on pulling the engine out and taking it apart during the restoration of the car. This car would make an excellent parts car or a good project Corvette. It is the first year of the 454 , first year of the flared fenders, and the last year of the high compression engine. I have a clear title for the Corvette. It does have the VIN numbers original engine,transmission, and rear end. The block casting last three numbers are 512. I will not give out the last 6 digits of the VIN number do to fraudulant activity on the internet. I think the front fiberglass can be repaired by someone familiar with repairing fiberglass.
