Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 General history I bought the car in 2001 from a very elderly gentleman, who restored it over the course of his retirement, from about 1979 on. Garage kept from that point on. I have driven it a total of about 4,000 miles, and have worked a little at a time on my list of stuff to do. EngineRebuilt about 4,000 miles ago Rebuilt Carbs last year Full annual spring tune-up and lube last year Runs strong and with good compression Electrical All gauges and switches working well New ampmeter last year Brake light-is on due to imbalance in PDWA switch. Ignition and Oil light also on since they are fused with the brake light (Lucas electrical quirk) All lights, signals, and fans work Radio works fine Suspension/Steering New steering rack New tie-rod ends and bushings New front sway bar New rear suspension (shocks, bushings) Drivetrain New clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder Good transmission-no noise or slippage New U-joints Rebuilt differential (50 miles ago) Underbody Reinforced frame mounts Rear differential mount boxed and reinforced Some trail arm rust Body Paint is original Dupont 34 “Jasmine” No previous damage or accidents No significant rust (a few small spots at seams and on rear bumper) 20 foot paint job (some scratches and cracks) Quarter-sized dent in top of right front fender (where hood meets fender) Underbody skirts scratched and minor dents Interior/Cosmetics Great condition original leather seats Great condition dash-top (no cracking or wear at all) Minor blemishes in wood grain dash face Windshield rubber is aging and somewhat cracked Soft top is in good (useable) condition. Can be pretty with a fresh coat of moisturizer or armor-all. The top three things I planned to do if not selling: 1. Exhaust system replacement 2. Brake system rebuild 3. Minor body repairs and frame-off paint.
