This is an excellent car. It is a 300zx 3.0V6 VG30DET- Had zero wrecks until my brother drove his punk HHR down the rear driver side. Was running great until I believe one of my cam bearings or timing belt tensioners went out. There is a top end, loud "TACK" noise. started as a click. I completely tore down the top end. Cleaned, inspected, and installed all new gaskets. Drove another 250 miles until the noise progressed, then parked. I can send video of this sound, and any other pictures that you request via email. I replaced old blue dash with a mint black dash. All plastics have been painted black. Needs new carpet, is original powder blue. Removed AC compressor clutch when tearing down top end to inspect problem. AC had not been retrofitted yet. This car does have some other problems that exist. The rear differential mount is shot. The T-top gutter system is leaking, so there are two small rust holes along the bottom of the body, behind each door. T-tops do not leak. Surface rust is starting across the top of the window, but only about 9-12" on the driver side. All lights/housings work, are in good, uncracked, and operational condition. This was a really fun car to drive, but I simply just don't have the time to even mess with this car anymore. This car will need to be towed to prevent further damage to motor.
