This is a 1985 Nissan 300ZX non-turbo that was produced in October 1984. I bought this car three years ago from a friend in my local Z car club as a project car. It has 159,164 miles on the original engine and drivetrain. The timing belt was replaced at 144,000 miles in March of 1999 with all Nissan parts. The transmission was rebuilt at about the same time. The car was painted shortly after that in the factory color (dark pewter) and then my friend parked the car as he thought the airflow meter had died. Frustrated, he parked the car and eventually sold it to me. I attempted to get the car running last year and as it turned out the distributor was bad so a used one from a 1984 300ZX with 92k miles on it was installed. After that I found out that the fuel pump was bad so I bought a used fuel pump and dropped the tank and as it turned out the used fuel pump was bad. At this point I lost interest and it is now time to move on and concentrate on my other cars. The engine was registering healthy oil pressure while trying to start the Z. The fuel tank has been resintalled and the car would have to be towed. There are some minor rust areas as depicted in the pictures.
