Vehicle Detail
This is a 1979 Jeep J10 pickup truck. The miles are actual at 26,991. I believe I am the second owner. I purchased the truck from a gentleman in Kansas. There cannot be many in this condition anylonger. Mechanically the truck is in very good condition. It runs well. The 4wd and hubs work fine. It requires a little cranking first thing when it's cold to get the fuel up to the engine, but then it fires right up. I've driven it on two 700 mile round trips in the past two years with no problems. It cruises right along at 70 mph. The fuel gage and the a/c currently do not work. It's all original except for the AM radio. The owner before me cut a little of the dash to install it. The engine is a 360 2 barrel, and it has a 3 spd trans. The tinted glass is in great shape. The interior is great, and shows minor wear. The exterior shows some wear, but pretty minor for its age. There is a small dent in the drivers door that extends back to the bed. The previous owner rubbed up against something. There is surface corrosion on the frame but it is solid. There is a dent in the top of the tailgate. The tires are approx 2 yrs old. Overall it is a very original Jeep that is iin very good condition, and is road worthy. Please call me at 859-236-8364 with any questions. Thanks for looking, Don. I also have a room full of NOS parts for a FSJOn Oct-11-11 at 08:52:44 PDT, seller added the following information: The door mirrors are not original, and are rusty. The pictures do not show it. There is a small amount of rust starting in the bed side panel where the floor panel meets it. Its a small amount, but the pictures on the auction didn't pick it up very well. The hood has some paint chips in it. Its all original paint as far as I can tell. There is no evidence of the truck having any body work.
