Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE * 1977 Fiat X19 * California car – was in Ca. till summer 2010 * No rust, even where “X19’s always rust” – very solid, paint appears to be original * Odometer reads 26,260 – possibly original but more than likely has turned over…doesn’t look like 100,000 miles worth of wear though…really don’t know… * Great Condition for a 34 year old car! Was in storage for many years and has a minor few dings * Runs pretty well, but needs some mechanical work to be perfect as explained below * Factory A/C works great, recently charged * Interior in good shape with exception of drivers seat – needs to be reupholstered * No major mechanical issues, suspension, transmission all seem fine, new brakes recently installed. * Car has unmolested California emissions package (not the 49 state version) * New Battery a few months ago * New CD Player (needs to be installed – Fiat radio molding included) * Many new parts included – Water pump, thermostat, timing belt, drive belts, carb rebuild kit, oil filter, complete engine gasket set & more. I bought this car last year with the intention of reconditioning it, since it’s so original and not very far from show quality. Unfortunately, health issues prevent me from finishing it up. The work it needs is – * Water pump leaks at the shaft seal. I’ve purchased a new one (A/C model) but am not in shape to install it. The cooling system should be flushed at the same time, and any hoses replaced as necessary, they’re likely original. * The timing belt is also likely original and should be replaced before any significant driving, as well as the drive belts, all this stuff is also included. * She starts easily and runs pretty strong, but was in storage a long time and could use a good tune-up. A carb rebuild kit and new plugs are also included. The gas tank has been removed and flushed, and the fuel hoses replaced, by the previous owner. * I took out the old cassette player that was in it, and am including a new CD player. The proper dash molding is also included but this all needs to be installed too. * The tires hold air and have some tread, but I’m sure they’re very old and dry rotted and should be replaced before regular driving. * There are a few little dings (from boxes in storage). The paint itself is in outstanding condition, but I’d fix the dings and repaint the car to make it perfect at some point, looks good now though! So, with very little work this could be a regular driver, probably not more than a weekend really. With a little paint and upholstery work she’ll be a show car! These vintage X19’s (especially this nice) don’t go on the market very often, with a very low Reserve! As this car is 34 years old, obviously no warranty is offered, however, please check my feedback. Be assured that the description I've given is as accurate as possible, and inspection prior to bid is welcome.
