1967 Standard Microbus . This is a wonderful old VW Bus which has been a daily driver for the last 11 years .. Although it wasnt driven in the winters , Its has been regularly maintaned,and serviced properly through the years ..The well loved and taken care of Microbus is a Walkthru model . 1967 was the last year of this style VW Bus and the only year made with factory 12 volt system . The motor is a 1600cc single port ,and was rebuilt and installed about 5 years ago . Its does run strong with no smoke or oil leaks ..The transmission is the stock 67 12 Volt tranny and shifts smooth . The bus has recently had new rubber brakelines , Wheel cylinders and shoes . Also has had new tie rods and front end alignment and goes down the road super nice .. It has new 205/75/14 tires and New front and rear seat covers were as well as new seat pads .and new reproduction westfalia roof rack.. The body condition of this vehicle is in pretty decent shape . The bus was repainted many years ago and does have a few dings scratches and chips . But for the most part is good and shiny . As most of these buses have there rust issues this one is pretty solid . the rockers are in great shape as well as frame and underside . It does have some small spots of surface rust here and there but is nice compaired to many ive seen .. The front floors are pretty solid and have surface rust and spots here and there .. The rear floors have a few patches but are solid with surface rust . The Paint was done faily well back in the day , and the lower few inches were sprayed with a protective chip gaurd under the paint .. All and all it looks great and gets lots of attention everywhere I drive ..And is a joy to drive .. This is a 44 year old vehicle and is a super good driver and very fun to take to local VW shows , it is not restored but gets as much attention as any restored bus ..But is so fun because you can drive this bus, and enjoy now !! ..And maybe someday restore it ? But I love it as is .. although its in great shape for its age it is being sold in as is condition ... This Bus is a great driver and I wouldnt be afraid to jump in and drive across the state tomorrow . I really hate having to sell the bus and will regret it im sure .. This bus has had alot of love over the years and I hope the next owner will continue to give this bus the care and attention it deserves ...
