This is a NO RESERVE auction for our black 2007 PT Cruiser. It is a completely rust free car from California and has just over 97k miles. (It will have more this week since we just drove it to and from Chicago today and my wife is still driving it.) I've put some money into it to make sure it runs and drives perfectly. It has been professionally lowered, has custom 18" rims, and is a lot of fun to drive. It's my wife's daily driver and, other than some cosmetics, needs nothing. I wouldn't hesitate to get in it and drive it anywhere in the country. It has been lowered, so it doesn't ride cushy like a Cadillac. It's firm and sporty, so be prepared. It hugs the road nicely and is tight and rattle-free. We bought it and registered it in CA, then moved to Michigan and registered it there, which Autocheck counts as 2 owners. THE UGLY: We bought the car in the cosmetic condition it's in. It looks great overall and cleans up very nice, but there are some areas you should be aware of. Mostly nicks and scratches. To my knowledge it has never been in an accident, however I did not run a carfax report on it when I bought it. 1. The front bumper has many scrapes on it and would look great if it was repainted.2. There are stone chips on the hood and front area.3. The driver's side passenger door has a dent in it.4. The rear bumper has a scrape on it towards the bottom right.5. The car has been smoked in. We are not smokers, so we had it professionally cleaned and have cleaned it thoroughly as well ourselves. However, we weren't able to clean off the burn marks. There are a few on the headliner and one on the steering wheel. Nothing major, but you'll notice them.6. A couple of the wheels have some curb rash on them. Not super noticeable unless you're within a few feet and your eyes are open. PICK UP: The closest airport to us is South Bend, IN (SBN). I will be happy to meet you there if you decide to fly in. I do not offer shipping and don't have any knowledge of what's involved with shipping a vehicle, however, I am happy to work with your shipping company. On Oct-12-11 at 08:36:56 PDT, seller added the following information: While driving the car yesterday we noticed that there was a grinding noise coming from the right front wheel. We took it into the shop today and they replace the front right rotor and put new pads up front and new brake shoes on the rear for $355. I just wanted to make sure you know you're getting a mechanically sound car that you can get in and drive worry free. It is ready to roll!
