Vehicle Detail
1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan-Spectacular & Captivating Show Car! This 36,668 actual mile car has been creatively enhanced while retaining the original beauty, power and luxury! Simply better than new and capable of showing under the lights and against the best. This was a good solid original Lincoln that was painstakingly restore to perfection for pure enjoyment. To Start with, the entire car was disassembled down to the last bolt, the frame was stripped and treated to an everlasting powder coat finish, Suspension wise the car is equipped with four inch dropped spindles in front along with 2 inch shorter posi springs, the rear springs were rebuilt and reverse eyed along with four inch lowering blocks. Sitting in the weeds and standing tall! The original engine was sent out for an overhaul, the Flat Head V8 was professionally rebuilt with a .030 over bore, .010 under crankshaft and then all new pistons, rings and bearings. Every visible piece of steel or aluminum was chrome plated or polished, including the inner fender aprons inside and out. Spectacular Flat Head!! I recently converted to a 6v alternator system and added power steering. Original Generator included. The entire body was media blasted, for ultimate protection and sound reduction every surface that was not to be painted recieved a Tuff Coat of Rhino Lining, the top and bottoms of the floor pans, all inner side panels (doors, fenders, qtrs), the roof under the headliner etc etc. Tight solid dry and quiet, this car will out last us all! Then every body panel was finished seperatly to perfection before final assembly. The car is finished in a deep metallic black cherry paint and plenty of chrome, its simply AWESOME! Hiding on the underside is a full set of neon show lights controlled by a 12v or 120v power converter that also acts as a battery tender when in or not in use. In the cavernous interior is a tasteful combination of factory chrome trim/dash, Ididit Billet Tilt Steering Column, Lecarra Steering wheel and updated professionally sewn gray velour threads over the factory seats. The factory clock, hydraulically controlled power windows and power seat all work perectly. Keeping in the details anything inside that could be chromed or polished was, its again awesome! Bottom line 36k Original mile Survivor Montana Car, 100% body off Restoration/Modernization. Less than 1k miles since completed. After cleaning up on the Great Northwest show circuit , the car spent two years in Arizona then came to me in NY 3 years ago and has been in a climate controlled garage ever since. Inspections welcomed car is on Long Island. Any questions please ask, thanks for looking.
