Vehicle being relisted because of a fraudlent buyer. I do not have the protecto plate, I am the 4th owner with the 2nd and 3rd owners were co workers. The third owner and his father did the mechanical rebuild and color changes to the vehicle. The 2nd owner bought the car "used" in 1970 from the Chevrolet dealership in Pecos, Texas and it was a SS he purchased. Mechanically sound. Engine, transmission, rearend, brakes rebuilt with less that 2000 miles. Solid lifter cam, Holley 750 cfm mechanical secondaries, tunnel ram manifold, electric fuel pump. Developes around 440 HP, should run high 12 to mid 13 second quarter mile. 4:10 posi rear gear. Tires are fairly new, 1980 Corvette rims. The engine numbers (T10121 JA) show the engine to be from a 1969 Chevelle with a manual transmission. The car came from the factory without air conditioning and power steering. I does have power front Disc and rear drum brakes. The head liner is gone, the support bows are all in place and it needs a dome light. Front fender well are missing I had to replace the original dash and mounted after market gages, The dash pad has a cover over the original pad, it was on the car when I purchased it. There was a 10 x 10 inch rust spot fiberglassed in the trunk, there is some rust in the trunk on the passenger side bumper mounting area. There is minor rust spot on the interior driver side door. The floor pan appears to be in good condition. The seat covers are almost new, the door panels are in fair shape, the driver side has a hole where the outside rear view mirror adjustment knob was located. It needs a heater core. The original exterior and interior was red, this is the info from the trim plate attached to the driver side cowl. The passenger side front fender and door have been replaced and the door needs repainting, the rear bumper has some pitting, the front bumper is a little wavy. The front of the Cowl Induction hood has repair on the nose. The driver side door needs hinges, a new set goes with the car. I have some small items that I have purchased that will go with the car. All the glass is good, the windshield has some scratching from the wipers. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge. The NADA classic car has the lowest number near 20K, I have the reserve set way below that. At the reserve price any additions, upgrades and repairs will be a good investment. From the paper work that I have from the last owner it looks like the mechanical and body rebuild ocurred in 1999. When I purchased the car I was informed that it had around 1500 miles since the rebuild. I do not know if it burns oil because I doubt that I have put 200 miles on the car and that was just test runs after I had made a change. I do know that the car is fast, running from stop sign to stop sign and the former owner had some time slips from the local drag strip showing 13+ runtimes. I have the time slips but they are fading and hard to read.
