Vehicle Detail
This is my 1984 Ford Mustang SVO. This has got to be one of the nicest-condition SVO Mustangs for sale anywhere. This is a gorgeous, original, clean and great-driving beauty. I have this SVO for sale with NO RESERVE. This was the fastest, best-handling, most-powerful and most-expensive Mustang when it was new. This was the model that all the technology and engineering went into, and it shows. This car is quick, responsive and was the best-handling Mustang made to date. It is an important piece of American muscle car history, as it was the first car to get over the emissions-restrictions hurdles to make it back to ultra high-performance. My SVO has the following equipment:2.3L Turbocharged and Intercooled 4-cylinder engine5-speed manual transmissionA/C which blows ice-coldleather upholsterypower windows and locksfactory Koni adjustable shocks, plus the original wrench to adjust them!power windows and locks This Mustang looks beautiful. The paint is in superb condition and it shines like new. There are no notable flaws on the paint or body- it looks great. The factory 16" aluminum wheels are near perfect and the tires are nearly new. This car isn't sun damaged, nor has it seen salt or snow. It has been kept indoors. The interior looks beautiful. The leather seats are in great shape, please see the photos. The carpets are clean and in very good condition. Even the dash is in very good shape, which is rare. The car runs and drives beautifully. It starts perfectly and it runs smoothly and it is very powerful- the acceleration is outstanding. The clutch is tight and the transmission shifts perfectly. The suspension is tight, with no rattles or sloppiness. The brakes are great and the steering is smooth and responsive. There are no leaks, and no known mechanical problems. The car is almost bone stock- the only changes are a short shifter (nice) plus a few bits under the hood and a Sony CD player. I would trust this car to drive cross-country- it is totally reliable and dependable. The underside and body are superbly clean, solid and rot-free. There are maybe 2-3 tiny spots of rust from stone nicks, etc on the body- all of these are tiny. Also on the inside of the driver's door there is a tiny bit of rust bubbling. This is only visible if you open the door and look for it. This is all very minor- the car looks show-condition to most anyone. Common to Turbo Fords, the idle will surge when the car is warm, if you turn the car off and back on again it is fine. This is an outstanding Mustang SVO- worthy of someone's collection, or just a great car to drive on nice days. It is collector's quality, but not so perfect that you'd be afraid to drive it. I am quite sure that the new owner will be proud to own this piece of American ponycar history. I have this car stored in my building in Willoughby, OH. If you have questions or you'd like to see the car, please email me or call/text me at 440 339 4341.
