1996 Volkswagen Jetta Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I am selling this car because we no longer need it, it was my wife's car but I bought her a 2009 Jetta so she no longer needs this one. It has always been a good reliable car for her, she has never had any major trouble with it. The car is purple but I have had people call it blue so it's kind of bluish purple. The car has 106,911 miles on it. It has 4 doors, a 5 speed transmition, and it has the 4 cylinder 2.0 engine. It has an alarm system that works good. It has brand new tires from Less Shwab with about 1000 miles on them and it had an oil change at jiffy lube about 500 miles ago. The car has a great cd player and sound system with an excellent amp and sup woofer; the sub woofer can be turned on or off, up or down using the cd player. We have never had to add oil between oil changes, so I don't think the car used any oil. The interior is in pretty good condition the seats have no tears, the dash has no cracks, the head liner is in excellent condition; there is a couple flaws though, the cup holder on the middle console in the back is missing its lid, and the two front seats are smashed down a little on the sides next to the doors, the seats were like that when we bought i. I bought the car from a dealer about 4 years ago. The exterior is also in pretty good condition but also has a couple flaws; there is a small not very noticeable dent in the drivers side front fender, also some of the paint on the hood, roof, and bumper is starting to fade a little. My wife says the car has always driven really good for her, but she says she has noticed a little vibrating sometimes ever since I put the new tires on for her, maybe the tires need rotated or rebalanced I am not sure. Also she has told me for about the last five months once in a while when she is driving the speedometer will drop down to 0 mph for a little while and she can't tell how fast she is going for a little bit, I don't know if this is easy to fix or not. The check engine light has been on for about a year, I had a friend of mine run the code with his code reader awhile back and he thought it was a sensor of some sort but he wasn't sure, I never looked into it because the car has been running great. Also the car had automatic door locks but they are not working, I guess the locks are controller buy a vacuum pump that sucks them down or pushes them up but there is a leak in the line somewhere, but it hasn’t bothered us because the locks are easy to pull up and down manually and it has a great alarm system that will go off if the doors are open when it is armed anywase. In the trunk there is a spare tire under the mat in good condition, also there is a pair of brand new windshield wipers and a pair of chains.
