1979 Ford F-350 Ranger with Holmes Trooper 1100 wrecker body and Century Formula I wheel lift. This truck was installed with the Holmes Trooper 1100 wrecker body by Dover Corp., Holmes Division in 1979, according to the tag on the door that verifies the information and serial number of the bed. The bed has a single line winch with a telescopic boom that is raised and lowered with dual hydraulic cylinders. The bed also has a tool box in the center with chains inside. The sling assembly is also included. The truck also has a Century Formula I wheel lift that was installed later. The lift rating for the wheel lift is 3000lbs and tow rating for 7500lbs. The lift has its own hydraulics, that is operated by switching a valve and using the existing controls for the boom. Everything works as far as the wrecker body and wheel lift. I do not have the wheel cradles for the wheel lift. The truck has the 351M engine with 4 speed manual transmission. The truck runs good. The front tires have good tread and the rear tires are getting dry rotted and need replaced. Truck has heavy push bumper on the front and a Federal Twinsonic light bar. The cab is getting rust on the roof above the doors and windshield, floors and around the doors at the bottom. Pennsylvania inspection ran out one year ago. The truck will need some work for the road. Some light bulbs need replaced, clutch needs adjusted or replaced, rear tires bad. Business name and info on doors will be removed or painted over prior to buyer pick up. There is lots of potential with this truck but it does need some work and may need more than I specified above.
