An extremely rare opportunity to own a beautiful one owner, first model, first month production 1969 Honda CT70 K0 Silvertag in Candy Sapphire Blue. A true survivor with 671 original miles. It was driven on a Lake Geneva estate and then stored for over 30 years. Bike is completely original with the exception of the following: Original Engine - Cases split and completely inspected, cleaned and all corrosion removed. New piston rings and clutch plates. Engine and carburetor have been precision tuned and runs excellent. Carburetor - Tank was removed and cleaned. New fuel lines and clips were installed. Carburetor has been ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt with Honda OEM carb kit. Exhaust - Brand new Honda OEM exhaust pipe. Heat shield is original. I have the original exhaust and header shield. Chain & Sprockets - New heavy duty D.i.D chain and Sun Star sprockets. I have the originals. Battery - Brand new sealed battery Seat Cover - The seat cover has been replaced with the correct heat pressed 9 seam cover. I have the original. Everything else is original and unique to the early silvertag model. The bike has not been cleaned or detailed. The original paint is excellent. From the black horn, to the tapered front lip fender, to the one piece flywheel cover, to the bolt on tool kit cover under the seat, it's all there. The seat pan is in excellent condition. The tool kit looks to be unused. It still has the feeler gage. The original Nitto tires have literally no tread wear and tubes do not leak. In September 1969, they went to a black tag that was riveted to the frame and included the build date and frame number. The early silvertag models had many "prototypical" characteristics some of which have been described. This bike also has all original hardware with the large 8 on the bolt heads.
