1988 Suzuki GSX / Katana

1988 GSX1100F Katana recovered at a police impound yard. Bike runs and starts right up. It is probably due for a tune up and have some fresh fuel in it since it has been sitting a few months. Cosemetically it needs work due to scratches and paint peeling on the parts on the bike. The rear brake needs new pads and ruined the rotor. It also needs tires. The magneto cover appears to have a crack that was covered by JB Weld and leaks a small amount of oil. The rear has threads hanging out of it. The bike will need the following that I can see: battery, left side passenger peg bracket(cracked), left side foot peg and bracket, gas cap and seat key needs to be made, both front and rear tires, rear rotor and pads, magneto cover (cracked). The windshield regulator no longer works. No title sold with California lien sale papers. I checked with the California DMV on 09/25/2011 and according to the web site there is $238+ in DMV fees owed to the State of California. You should be able to get a title it another state where those fees would not be owed if the state you live in has a bonded or lost title program. Please do your research before bidding. This would make a easy project, or parts for someone who needs an engine. Believe it or not this was one of the fastest bikes of its time. MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 6 DAYS FROM END OF AUCTION.
